- Beril EsenFebruary 17, 2014Great place to read a nice book while sipping tea, or chatting with a couple of friends over some coffee. Music is good and not too loud to distract you from what you are doing.
- Grab a delicious veggie + egg breakfast pastry, great coffee, and settle in to do some work. The wifi password rarely changes. UIY5I2 087F00C8DE
- Alex PyatetskyJanuary 28, 2014After my initial ecstatic assessment, I'm a bit more informed. Wifi is spotty and goes out periodically. They also close at 8 , so hardly night owl friendly. Still decent choice for work
- A large gloomy space sporting a beautiful Mistral espresso machine, Modca has wifi, plugs, many tables & one big communal one. They use 49th Parallel Coffee from Vancouver and prepare it acceptably.
- Perhaps the best, most chill place for freelancers to work, meet and keep cool in Williamsburg. Decent coffee from 49th parallel. Note: The kitchen is temporarily dormant, other than some tasty baked
- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guideNovember 13, 2012Serving decently prepared 49th Parallel coffee from Vancouver, this El Beit spinoff is dark & usually crowded w/ laptop users. Plugs are covered by duct tape but wifi is solid. Lots of baked goods. Read more
- Pet SApril 5, 2012Not a true pasty like Aussies & Brits know it, but nevertheless the "breakfast pasty" here is great: cheese, egg & veg in a low fat pastry triangle. Delicious!
- Usually really great study work space. Coffee is too strong for me. Great pastries, TERRIBLE wifi lately-- always spotty.
- Alex PyatetskyJanuary 27, 2014Coffee is just ok, no blue bottle. But this is the place you go to spend an entire day to work. Blue bottle you just pop in for a cup and move on.
- If you need to work remotely from Willy this is your spot. Great table space and dependable (and free) Internet.
- Cortado was pretty good, not fancy just basic. Croissant was crazy delicious. The place has a chill vibe, free wifi too!
- R.G. LoganOctober 2, 2011New favorite cafe to do work in. Free wifi, decent coffee, plenty of space and off the beaten path (sort of)
- If the Moroccon Spice Iced Tea is on offer, do yourself a favor and get it!
- Pro-tip: the outlets on the back wall are taped over apparently not because they spitefully don’t want people using them but rather because they are miswired and have fried people’s electronics.
- Abby H.September 16, 2011The wicked cookie is pretty good. This place is also surprisingly spacious.
- Literally waited 10 minutes for a cup of brewed coffee. The guy behind the counter was incredibly unfriendly and completely ignored me as I patiently waited. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
- Jacob vd VSeptember 10, 2011Espresso is not good, way too bitter. "French press" coffee was just horrible OLD(!!!!!) filter coffee!
