the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore, built in 1824 by Hakka and Cantonese immigrants five years after the founding of the modern city in 1819

Really small museum but interesting to note that its location used to be so near the sea. Immigrants wld pray at this ex-temple after getting off their boats.
