There is a self check-out line near Starbucks that tends to not have a line. You won't get a parking validation there though.
pretty convenient store. don't go on the weekends. wish law enforcement would get shoplifting under control so prices would stop going up. the staff are friendly and helpful most of the time.

Andrea HJuly 9, 2013At first glance this looks like a pretty good Safeway. Then you try to function inside and there are alot of questions and frustrations. Shows a poorly managed store.
This is my fav grocery store and they have an awesome wine collection!

Gary YOctober 22, 2012We practically survived off the deli food for 3 days here. Not much else around. Right next to Waterfront SEU Metro!
Often disappointing in terms of selection, now & then this store holds surprises, like heirloom tomatoes.
- Careful with disaster planning here. The new Safeway is bigger, which only means more people in line!

God awful. Lines are always 15 min wait. Open more registers!!!!!!!!
Worst checkout lines in DC. If you're here, you must be desperate. Free underground parking is nice though...
Be aware of customer service they steal money not small either go for $100

But groceries somewhere else. This is basically a large 7/11.

Don't even bother trying to order from the deli. There's never anyone back there and if they are there, they ignore you.
