Here you can have the famous traditional fish and chips. Go for Cod if you want it more oily and less fishy & Haddock if you want it less oily and more fishy.
it doesn't matter how much you are already full with fish&chips, you should try trufflepuding. but if you don't want to be awake till morning, it is strongly recommended to share with a friend:)
I had the haddock and chips. The portion was very large (even for the regular size) and I had to pack half of it to take home with me. It is the equivalent of two meals, so price is good.
Definitely one of the best places to get Fish and Chips in the area. Great cod and and delicious chips. A bit pricey and it does get busy but that's a sign of the quality.
Choose cod or haddock. I preferred the haddock: crisp and lighter batter. Good place for traditional fish and chips. Waited 15 min for a table, quite reasonable.
Awesome atmosphere, delicious food and great service (being a bit drunk, dropped a half of the fish on the floor and got a whole new one for free!). This is definitely a must visit in London!
Best fish & chips I have ever had! I usually don't fancychips all that much but this one was so tasty I couldn't stop! Ask for the tartare sauces for take out.
This is the latest venture from 68-year-old fish fryer Pat "Pop" Newland but his sustainability policy is right up to date - Peterhead cod, plaice, rock, mackerel. Handmademushy peas. Read more
They spoil me so in here, NIce / Staff, Notice longer serving staff mcuh larger - nice food, look after locals well , Tip, Ask for uour chips to be wrapped, get double the amount x
Quite pricey when you are used to a good cheap Northern chippy tea but very nice to chomp on some chips and curry sauce whilst walking home late from work!
Good fish and chips - still not as good as Aussie fish and chips though (sorry!). Though the claims that its offishially (sp? ;) ) the best in London may be true?? - see for yourself!
An excellent choice for fish and chips, near Truman Brewery... The fish was awesome and tasted really fresh, and the waitress in the 50's uniforms were very friendly
Very good fish'n'chips! Do take away - this food is supposed to be eaten outside :) (if you insist on sitting, there is a space with free tables just behind the corner)
Fish and chips seems a bit over commercialized in London... but this place is legit. Order the cod as take-away and avoid a long line. You can still done outside
Incredibly flaky & moist cod, but otherwise everything just felt a touch bland. Not much imagination here, just good quality ingredients for you to season / complement as you see fit.
Fave fish and chipper in the world though recently free plastic cutlery replaced with just a fork and today the chip portions were decidedly mean... Hoping those highest of standards aren't slipping.
