- Matthew PhillipsJuly 15, 2016Think of it as Reagan National's Gate 9 3/4. If you run really hard at the wall next to Gate 35, you get to ride a magic bus to your airplane.
- Rob WAugust 15, 2013This gate is the epitome of chaos. Five different doors for one gate screaming boarding instructions at the same time.
- LaceyApril 6, 2016"We ran out of room and we need 5 more gates" "let's make a basement, and put 5 doors next to each other and bus everyone to the planes" "But what do we call it?" "35... X."
- Terri AnnOctober 16, 2015My choices were gate 35X, or DC-to-Nashville via Chicago. Next time I'll go the long way around thru Chicago. This is ridiculous! Packed standing like sardines on a bus with no seats for 45 minutes.
- J.P. WingJune 12, 2015Whatever you do, don't stand on the hard floor. Stand only on the carpeted area. If you stand on the hard floor, boarding comes to a screeching halt because on the hard floor is a terrorist threat.
- Eli ShererJune 7, 2019I was offered to $$ for higher boarding group! I didn’t take it. 4 agents called 4 flights at once to head downstairs single file to the appropriate door and out to the bus.
- They expanded downstairs, so you can wait down there now if you want--but seating is limited.
- M. BirdJuly 26, 2013Yes, there are 10 other flights taking off at the same time here.... Listen carefully, they call several flights at once so don't get on the wrong shuttle bus!
- You really only have about a 5 minute window to board the bus that'll get you to your flight. Don't be late; but for your sanity, don't hang around the (extremely crowded) gate.
- Jason HadleyApril 15, 2013Have patience with this gate, all the planes are small, get on the bus and plane last to avoid being cramped longer than you have to.
- Efficiency continued to elude US Air's Ground Operations here...sitting on tarmac for 20 minutes just trying to find a slot. Who knew these scheduled planes would be here? Oh, wait, they did...
- Shelly SamuelOctober 14, 2013Wow in this modern day in order to get on the plane you need a bus to take you there
- David ErskineOctober 13, 2011I think is airways sucks. But the people at the counter were very nice and helpful.
- Holly DowellMay 17, 2012Don't go downstairs until your called, in spite of the lack of signage or direction!
- Katie ProcterOctober 13, 2013Worst gate you could possibly imagine. Disorganized, chaotic, and you've got about a four minute window to catch the bus to your plane.
- FerlyGDecember 3, 2012Gate 35A operates like a game of Airport Mania gone bad, where passengers are at the mercy of the player who can't seem to land/de-plane/fuel/board jets in the right order.
- Lisa SchachleJune 21, 2013You'll feel like Kathleen Turner in "Romancing The Stone"....."Is this the bus to Cartagena?"
- Rhett FussellMay 9, 2013Be prepared for an inefficient travel pattern and very rude employees if u have to get to your plane in this cluster
- Nothing good here. If you wanted to be born as a cow it's great herding! #moveon
- Coordinated ground operations continue to elude US Air after more than 1 yr of gate roll out #fail
- You may be flying by plane, BUT to get here you travel on a bus!
- Patrick RoachNovember 27, 2013Making me walk outside to a bus, stand outside, waiting in line on the Tarmac to board the plane, in POURING DOWN RAIN is my definition of the worst gate in the history of gates. FAIL DCA, FAIL.
- The worst airline gate in America. Hands down. Nice bus. #smh
- Mike GulleyNovember 20, 2013This is the most bootleg gate system I have ever seen, avoid at all costs
