Tip for people in a hurry & paying with credit card: ask the driver for the total sum a minute before the destination, hand over your credit card, and complete the payment while still on the move.

There is a really easy way to text message a cab: just type Helsinki and your address (eg: helsinki mikonkatu 10) to 13170. They'll send you a confirmation message back to your mobile. Read more
