Delta Delta Delta was founded at Boston University in 1888 when Sarah Ida Shaw declared "Let us found a society that shall be kind alike to all and think more of a girl's inner self and character than of her personal appearance." Since then, Tri Delta has established chapters at 186 universities throughout America & Canada and has initiated over 260,000 women.
