- Joan L.September 14, 2015screen 1 is exceptional with huge screen and comfortable seats. The bar area offers choice of drinks and food that make taking in a film more enjoyable.
- K13-14, Screen 1 probably best in house - at top and in middle, behind a walkway and in front of the projector; there's no-one directly in front or behind you; you can put your feet up on the bars.
- Hannah ParvazOctober 18, 2016The Guinness cake is so thick that make sure you share it with someone. Become a picture house member for discounts.
- Great coffee and hotdogs (and reasonably priced). Queueing for tickets is a bit of a pain so always order online and scan in the QR code - almost too easy
- Erhan TimurApril 29, 2013Totally impressed by the Hackney Picture house, I thought it was an odeon from the outside, great bar and restaurant inside, great to chill out before or after a film. Iron man 3 was awesome!
- Ekaterina SkorobogatovaJanuary 28, 2016if you fancy a movie night - best hipster movie place, a little bit off the beaten route though, so be ready to hop on Boris bike to get there
- Mahir DurNovember 22, 2013My favourite cinema! Love this place, very comfortable / reclining seats and lovely atmosphere. You can take your beer into the screens with you.
- I love this cinema. There are nice comfy reclining seats and great bars, yes plural! What more could one want? Oooh get a baileys Choclatini at the bar.
- Julie MayJune 11, 2015The food is just great, especially the pizzas. I've been to Hackney Attic three times and loved it and the cinema is really nice too.
- Bronwyn BarnettJanuary 13, 2013Book your tickets online to skip the queues. Also remember to check out the reclining seats :)
- Luke TulloNovember 15, 2015Good value membership - free tickets and discounts. Nice bar for drinks/snacks. Excellent all round cinema experience.
- X YJuly 13, 2014Great cinema but if you like coffee with your picture bring your own with you - the average wait time at the bar is 15 mins!
- Alice FourJuly 30, 2012As well as a cinema, a music venue and a bar, it's also a great place to come and relax with a hot chocolate (until the bar gets busy that is!)
- Finest cultural institution in the area. Free tickets when you become a member.
- Best cinema ever! Reclining seats and discounts for members. £4 on Mondays. Bargain
- Absolutely beautiful, modern and well-priced cinema for Hackney. A few mins from London Fields. Members get 10% off food & drink, too.
- Blaise Grimes-ViortAugust 16, 2014Lovely cinema with a good selection of food and drinks, a fairly priced membership, and comfy seats.
- Quite simply the best cinema I've ever visited. Great bar, loads of leg room, comfy seats AND it doesn't cost a small fortune.
- Best burgers in the area. Instead of normal burger baps, they use brioche bread in the shape of burger baps - hopefully they still do that.
- Louise OrganJanuary 30, 2017Very comfy seats but small screens so can sell out fast if you're not early.
- Gordon DentJanuary 28, 2015Bar before film with great beer. Comfy reclining seats in the cinema and half price Mondays. Best cinema ever!
- Christopher WeirOctober 5, 2015Great cinema with cheap tickets and comfortable seats. The bar is nice for a pre show wine.
- Delicious and wide range of food specials in cafe: great bolognese & pork belly on sourdough when I visited.
- yeah! HackneyDecember 19, 2011A new multi-screen cinema in Hackney, lovely comfy seats. Try the London Fields Brewery beer made just for the cinema.
- Revathi RaghavanMarch 29, 2015Wish all cinemas were like this one. Love the picturehouse - good food, comfy seats and all your favourite movies.
- Dave MarshallOctober 23, 2015Comfortable seats that recline free wifi and monthly movie quiz is epic
- Jacob WAugust 30, 2014Comedy nights in the Attic are brilliant. Great space, intimate and cheap drinks.
- If you're going to screen 1 make sure you queue at the front of the bar or the barman gets a bit confused and grumpy.
- Favourite place to come for meetings, wifi, food, drinks, events and films! So in love with this place :)
- Great cinema, screen one is so big at first it's a bit much but you get used to it
- Arnau BronsomsSeptember 21, 2015Apart from a movie, you can have something to eat at the cafe. Pretty good breakfast
- Arrive one hour before the film and eat a burger. They're surprisingly excellent.
- Chris WattFebruary 8, 2014Booked online? Use the ticket machine - just scan the card you used to buy #winning
- Stavroula KonidariApril 3, 2013Um so I ordered a sticky toffee pudding and I got an apple pie. Apparently, the sign was mixed up. Point and ask "what is it?" Before you order. To be sure, to be sure.
- Cheap tickets on Mondays unless it's a bank holiday in which case standard prices apply
- Climate control in screen 1 not working. Early 2023 winter I was freezing. November 2023 it's very warm. They do reimburse if you're uncomfortable and leave, though I think they should fix it maybe ?
- If you're on a budget, take a pint of lime and soda into the screen for 50p.
- thefidelityMay 10, 2012They failed from coffee!!! Latte was disaster:( They must get some help from "artisserie" which is just in the corner. "chai tea latte" aka "salep" in Turkish was just ok.
