- Ross SheingoldJanuary 13, 2013GREAT cheesesteak! I got an original with cheez whiz, hot and sweet peppers and onions. The hot peppers are VERY hot. Loved it. Fries are also great. Highly recommended. Best cheesesteak in NYC?
- Always get the Old Bay fries for a taste of home... And if you want something lighter than the (delicious) cheesesteaks, try the Turkey Hoagie Salad. Also, best onion rings I've had in NYC.
- Mike FriedlichMarch 13, 2017Cheesesteak with Whiz is very good but the Italian fries are the best. Perfectly crispy, and is delicious with herbs and cheese on it.
- Lenny GalloNovember 7, 2015Philly cheesesteak was surprisingly amazing. Rivals anything you would find in Philly. Definitely a bar joint type place, but if you're here, the Phillys' are a must.
- Anuj MathurJanuary 16, 2015While the cheesesteaks take top billing, don't sleep on the yuengling rings (beer battered onion rings) -- they are excellent. Order 'em with a little ranch and hot sauce on the side.
- Elizabeth BursteinJuly 28, 2019Love their cheese triangles and salami ham sub w vinegar on such good bread. Brady ordered off ubereats
- John WmsonMay 22, 2013Their cheese steak is the best this side of Philly. Their Italian Fries are excellent, and they have Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in bottles... a personal favorite. Great ambiance, too.
- If you crave Geno's, Patsy's, or Tony Luke's, this is the place for you. Philly sandwiches are the best, and the bread here is almost as good. Order a cheesesteak whiz wit, or a roast pork with rabe!
- Care EMay 14, 2012OMG! Heavenly food at reasonable prices! Cheesesteak with provolone and fried onion a must plus the mozz sticks and Italian fries...delivery is good but the location even better when sports is on. Mm!
- Whiz wit. Philly born & raised, I can attest it's the closest you will get in NYC. Although rolls are shipped in daily from Philly, they are more doughy and heavy than the real deal-- my only issue.
- Eric CNovember 1, 2015Perfect spot to watch a game. Has nooks to sit with groups. Even if you don't like sports come for a beer with a group
- shorty's soul cavern every Wednesday night $5 Six Points - hours of greasy funk & slippery soul classics and rarities, featuring cuts from James Brown to Sharon Jones and everything in between.
- Faisal FahadAugust 4, 2018Loved the Cheesesteak with Whiz and sweet piper.. with a side of Italian fries was so great!!
- Melissa KiwiAugust 25, 2012Nom Nom Nom Nothing like a Philly cheesesteak in the heart of NYC. Very tasty, friendly service and cool music!
- Joe SbordoneMay 29, 2013They have free wifi and Val is excellent. The special with sharp prov and onions was really tasty. Sorry gotta go a beer is calling my name
- Serious EatsApril 1, 2013Solid Philly-style cheesesteaks and sandwiches; we're particularly fond of the roast pork and broccoli rabe.
- Shortys special is awesome..12 bucks for an amazing steak sammie and a delicious beer. Great beer and bourbon selection. Italian fries are a must!
- deestivSeptember 21, 2015Long lines and a bit of a wait, but the cheesesteaks are definitely worth it. As are the bacon and cheese fries!
- Caitlin ClementsMay 7, 2017Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Options include $5 beer and $6 well drinks.
- Happy Hour beers for $5 and fries for $4. Also great cheeseteak and broccoli rabe sandwiches
- Jason O'BrienMarch 19, 2013I'll be honest, I was surprised how fun this place was... staff was accommodating and funny (on a St. Patrick's day) and prices were good.
- Kinjil MathurJanuary 11, 2015Go 30 mins before kick off for seats. Chilled out vibe compared to more football watching bars. Vegetarian options are good. Esp sliders.
- drew tarvinMay 26, 2015A solid option for a Philly Cheesesteak in NY, though nowhere near as good as what you can get in Philadelphia itself.
- Gianna NebbiaSeptember 7, 2018Kitchen was backed up so food took forever BUT excellent cheesesteak and chicken steak. And delicious Bloody Mary
- ZenFoodsterJune 10, 2013Fries here are double-fried & have a bit of batter, which make it taste denser than they really are. So, they're not my fave.
- Giovanni D'PalmaJune 15, 2015Cheese steaks are a great choice but I really enjoyed their chicken Herod as well.
- jena savioNovember 26, 2015Cheesesteaks are pretty solid! Almost like home. Philly sports friendly too ❤👍
- The mayor says, "eat everything on the menu. It's all good. The Italian fries are delectable and I don't even like fries.
- Noah XifrMarch 16, 2012My Philly friends steared me 2 go Shorty's or go home. Cheesesteak done right! Ask 4 their specialty freakin PROVOLONE CHEEZ WIZ!
- Tatiana FrancoApril 5, 2012The sandwiches here are amazing!I'm in love! Lol.And tried the mocha beer! Yummy zzzz. Can't wait to come again.
- SecondMarketJuly 24, 2012Get the veggie supreme “cheesesteak” sandwich to-go and eat it in Madison Square Park, just around the corner.
- best cheesesteaks in NYC are at Shorty's! this one is bigger than their original Hell's Kitchen location (9th & 42nd)
- David DinkevichMay 27, 2014Loved the chipotle beef sandwich! !!! Also try the Rye RD 95 Great beer!!!!
- Cole KennedyJanuary 14, 2019I can't appreciate things from Philadelphia since they beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl, but this place doesn't entirely suck.
- KristiaMarie Pastor BalatbatJanuary 14, 2016Their hot buffalo wings were hotter than we get at the UES location.
- Awesome food. Great beer selection. Best cheese steak in the city
- Tricia M.October 16, 2015Food is good, service sucks! I noticed 15+ taps asked for a beer menu, she handed me the faded out/somewhat laminated paper from my own table (which I already perused and couldn't decipher half of)
- Ehrin FeeleyNovember 13, 2011As a gal who grew up in the Philly area I have had my fair share of cheesesteaks. I have to say the ones here do not dissapoint!
- AlexDecember 5, 2011Try d Philly cheese steak. It's there specialty. N it's good. I tried w d provolone n d onions.
- Paul MiddlekauffJuly 26, 2013Really good cheesesteak and Italian fries... $20 minimum for credit card
