Pablo MirandaOctober 4, 2015Carnitas aren't Carnitas, but it's nice, they have guacamole, real salsa and black beans. best place in NY to eat Mexican food 🍲- The carnitas burrito is the correct choice. Top it off with a Negra Modelo or a Dr. Pepper. A side of chips & salsa helps if you're extra hungry.
- Once you get halfway down the line, you'll see a container that has the lid on it (just south of the salsa), it's got lettuce in it! They're happy to add it if you ask.

Looking for a taste of the Bay Area's Gordo Taqueria in New York (down to having the exact same chairs)? Dos Toros learned from the best. $1 bag of chips is a steal.

This place is a solid alternative to chipotle. Same structure with a different flavor. The hot sauce is very hot.
Don't forget to get a horchata by Cup & Compass. Perfect summer drink (maybe perfect year-round drink)
The red hot sauce is pretty spicy. Ask for a mix of the milder and the hotter for max flavor.
Salad with half carnitas half carne asada. Cheese, tomatoes, guac, sour cream, medium salsa. Do it to it!
The burrito is a much better deal than getting 2 tacos. Same price and you get rice and beans to boot.

Mara BelApril 21, 2013The food is ok, but I prefer Chipotle. A pretty nice spot and would do in a pinch if you were craving tex mex. Not the cheapest either. About $4 for a basic taco and $6 for a basic quesadilla.
Gotta have the carnitas. Watch out for the habanero salsa! It's delicious but intense.
