Amazing. 2 communal tables, 8 stools, garlic overload. Great options for vegetarians. Spinach dumplings, cucumber salad, spicy tofu soup a must. For carnivores, the lamb cumin noodles are excellent.

Anthony Bourdain's first love, the Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger, is amazing, but don't hesitate to explore the rest of the menu. The stewed pork noodles are superb. Read more at http://bit.ly/UntappedXian.

Best destination for the food of the Chinese city of Xi'an in New York. Try the chewy liang pi noodles or "lamb face" salad, all doused in their alluringly fiery house sauces.

Stewed pork burger & spicy cumin lamb burger (actually not too spicy) are both great. Stewed pork noodle is also very good. The noodle portions are big enough that you don't need the burger.

Lamb dumplings in broth and a Jasmine tea = perfect for a cold day or the sniffles. Although neither case fit today and I still enjoyed it!

Even for a vegetarian, the food selection is fresh, superbly prepared and delicious. Don't be fooled by the simple decor, the food is worth waiting for those long benches. Worth a visit. Priced cheap.

Great for a quick stop, ridiculously cheap and good food. Homemade noodles - noodles with lamb are fantastic. For veg. there are cold noodles with cilantro (spicy). Tiny place, gets hectic.

If you're not used to spicy food, ask for no spice. I asked for "mildly spicy" and it was waaaaay more spicy than what I'm used to. But it was so tasty! Recommended.

EVERY NOODLE SOUP is so good, the spicy is nothing to mess around with. Sometimes the broth has licorice in it which I can do without but it adds a unique flavor profile.

These hand-pulled noodles are beautiful: wide like pappardelle and inconsistent in thickness, so you get some thin, tender bites and more robust chewy ones all in the same slurp.

A little bigger than the St. Marks location, you'll find an assortment of the pulled noodles dishes as well as some dumplings & soups. Most noodle dishes are a little spicy. Cheap eats.

packed at lunch time - prob due to Anthony Bourdain & Andrew Zimmerman featuring their other locations! noodle orders are better for eating in - but lamb burgers hold up well to being heat up later.

The lamb here is what's really good; if you like lamb and cumin, just get the 'open face' lamb salad. Noodles aren't for everybody, but liang pi is pretty good.

No other words needed, good affordable chinese food. The spinach dumpling in soup had dumplings stuffed w straight up spinach w a thick dumpling skin and probably wasn't my fav. Self serve, no frill.
