Occurs when the sun aligns perfectly with Manhattan’s grid: For the best view, camp out as far east along a broad avenue with views across the island (14th and 34th Streets will do).

Pretty cool once a year happening...be ready to be honked at when your in street. This is about the only thing you can do for free in NYC

One of the better streets for the Manhattanhenge view. 14th & 3rd is a good intersection to choose.

Go as far east as you can then look west at 8:17. The city will glow (more than this).
