- Best boba in the Bay Area. Their honey boba always has the perfect texture (springy yet yielding to the chew), and a pleasant flavor that works in any type of hot or cold drink.
- Best boba in the bay area - hence the 50+ person line at all times of day. Every concoction is simply amazing...but try my fave: watermelon peach green milk tea with honey boba! You'll love it!!
- Brian EngAugust 9, 2014The boba is the best. Keep it simple with oolong with milk tea and boba. The fruity flavored are tempting but detract from the milk tea experience
- They have extra flavors not on the menu if you ask for them, such as tangerine. Also, they allow for flavor combinations. My favorite is tangerine passionfruit so far!
- VarunJuly 28, 2014Cool, refreshing bubble tea is nice on a hot day. Very long line normally, but was lucky to get less crowd on a lazy Sunday at 5pm. Large diversity of flavors to choose from.
- One of (or perhaps) the best boba shops in San Mateo. You can never go wrong with the Honey Green Milk Tea with honey boba.
- Cristina S.June 5, 2013If the line is only out the door slightly, you'll get to order relatively quickly. Be patient! & listen to other people's orders for off-menu combos.
- FiveStarsMay 30, 2012Your FiveStars card earns: $20 gift card to Cha Cha Cha Cuba Restaurant; 1 Free Drink; a Pump Pump Panda, Free Drink; a Eco Cold Drink Cup or one bag of 4oz Jasmine Tea, plus Free Drink. Ask for one!
- Remember you can always opt for "no sweet" instead of just "light sweet". Some flavor combos have all the sweetness they need!
- "Passion" (passionfruit) augments any fruity flavor pretty well. Don't be afraid to mix it with something else!
- Katarina TMarch 7, 2013Good quality fragrant tea. Boba is on the chewy side if that's what you prefer. Their light sweet is too sweet! I recommend flavored tea over their milk tea (too much milk). Be prepared to wait an hr.
- Hot: green or black milk tea, light sweet, more tea, extra hot (their hot drinks aren't hot enough)Cold: passion fruit black tea light sweet w/ boba
- They're very accommodating and you can always ask to have your drink modified if it isn't just right.
- Gotta have my cherry almond black milk tea. Totally customizable. They are moving to foster city
- I love TPumps! They're so friendly and always ask if your drink is good enough. And their tea is really good. Honey milk tea! Mmmm (:
- Be nice to the staff and they may let you try an off-menu flavor. Not sure if Bacon is still around...
- You can mix flavors! Honey Peach Green Milk Tea is my favorite!
- WAY better than Quicklys. They use real tea and not the powder stuff when you order your tea hot. And they put chunks of Taro in your drink when you order the Taro milk tea cold.
- Rose green milk tea has been my favorite lately. Floral, sweet, and creamy.
- Maryam AlySeptember 27, 2014If you get add flavors, ask for less sweet tea since the flavors are very sugary.
- Most of the flavors taste awesome combined with Passion :) especially Tangerine Passion Green Tea!
- I think I haven't tried almost all of them! I got extra boba in my drinks for free as a frequent customer ;)
- 24oz for $2, 32oz for $2.50, $0.25 for extra tapioca pearls or popping boba (no jelly); customize milk tea by level of sweetness & amount of tea/milk. Plastic cup is very flimsy.
- Try anything here! I don't think you can go wrong with any drink on the menu. Simply delicious tea!
- Daniel SalinasJuly 21, 2013Don't get the popping boba, while it sounds good they are hard to pop and sort of filmy tasting. Stick with the classic honey boba.
- Marilou AlejoJune 15, 2011The staff members are really sweet! They explained the different teas to us and gave us free samples. Tea 101! :)
- Mixing strawberry and lychee popping boba creates the prettiest color combination!

- Sandy JainOctober 26, 2013Original/regular milk tea had no taste. One with flavor (friend ordered green apple flavor) was very light to no taste. Diluted with too much water. Friends said tapioca was good.
- You can ask to have your drink sealed instead of getting a lid.
- Not a usual fan of coconut but coconut milk tea here is crackin. Also passion black tea is really good
- Ricky YeanMay 2, 2013The most diverse boba place ever. Like this tip if it's only about 50% Asian people.
- Try asking for a mixed milk tea with two different flavors. Theyll do it!
- Kyle Else realtor®February 2, 2014Sometimes a long line and wait; So box out anyone creeping up behind you like Stephen Curry grabbing a rebound or shooting a 3!
- Get here early at 11am when they open to avoid the long lines.
- Try the coconut and passion green tea milk tea. It's great.
- Nina TranJune 9, 2012Owner is really nice. Long lines but they hired more workers so it should go by fast... Should...
- The mailboxes are gone! There's now more room to stand in line inside.
- Jen L.October 24, 2011Don't go light on the sweetness for milk tea, it ends being just milk :(. Tapioca balls are great, though!
