- Rob TjengJune 29, 2018As authentic as it can be for a proper fish and chips. Variety of drinks sold on premise also.
- EddJune 18, 2021I have a voracious appetite but gotta admit The full portion is a bit much. There isn’t much flavour either - u need dollops of tartar or ketchup or whatever condiment u can find. Love the chips tho!
- Cheen The CuriousJune 24, 20151st mention of chips was in 1859 "A Tale in Two Cities": “husky chips of potatoes, fried w some reluctant drops of oil”, although recipe appeared 1855 in "A Shilling Cookery Book for the People".
- Lynette ChuaJuly 2, 2013Cod + chips, sprinkled with lots of salt, drizzled with lots of vinegar, finished off with a dip of curry sauce! Yum.
- Sebastian SonneSeptember 22, 2017Go there if you craving for fried stuff and don’t forget to order the fried mars bar!
- Javier Yong-En LiAugust 12, 2011Lovely mashy chips... It's like fries and mash potatoes though I need to learn my fishes before finding my favourite flavour. Great batter on chicken too!
- Cuthbert ChiaJanuary 23, 2022Portions are big but the cod fish tasted frozen. Coffee wasn't available and soft drink was $3.50. Staff had to write down their UEN for payment via PayNow as their card machine was "not working".
- Always good food here, love the haddock with gravy & baked beans lah. A singapore institution!
- The lunch deal is no longer good value. The chips are pathetic and the side order small
- Paulette LohJuly 7, 2013Super disappointed. Vinegar is tasteless and seems a lil diluted. My haddock batter was soggy and the batter is too little. Cod & sausage was average. Love the mushy peas & gravy thou.
- The fried mars bar is possibly the best thing on the menu
- A little disappointed...expensive, no side salad options to balance the unhealthy fried food.
- Lionel LimJuly 28, 2017The fish was great. However, the chops were top greasy and soggy. At $22, it was rather pricey.
- Mitchell SengNovember 5, 2011Opening hours: 12pm - 11pm. Takeout number: 67379313. Webby: www.smithsfishandchips.com
- Michelle MarekMarch 3, 2015Need to change their oil, food tasted like it was cooked in oil from last month. Not a fan
- Libby SandersonJuly 18, 2015We were so disappointed. Overly greasy & our fish was soggy and fell apart.
