- Antonis KalipetisFebruary 8, 2015Best curry. The quality is great for a fast food restaurant, staff is very friendly and the food rocks! Make sure you can handle the spiciness though, order mild or medium of not sure.
- S L.May 20, 2013Best Japanese curry in San Francisco!! The owners Brian and Ryan are really nice, too. The place is tiny with no tables, only a counter, like in Japan. Remember to bring cash.
- Danielle FAugust 15, 2014Oh... my lord. Stumbled upon this place and so glad I did! Chicken curry, get onion rings, eat fast, be full! If you like spice skip the mild completely.
- Brent HallDecember 23, 2011In true Japanese fashion they do only one thing but they do it well. Excellent katzu in a Tokyo-esque setting. Guys who run it create a friendly laid back vibe. Eight seats! (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- Raj S.August 15, 2014Great Japanese curry with Katsu (cutlet of chicken or pork). Fans of spicy food will not be disappointed. Reminds me of Katsu I had in Tokyo.
- Go with medium unless u can handle real spicy! It's my fave take out -- traditional curry and their pickled cabbage is so yum! Its cash only.
- The owner is so nice. Food is so delicious. I just moved in a couple blocks away and I'm certain I will be here weekly!
- IMO the dry beef curry is the best deal. Ground beef is mixed with the curry sauce like chili, and you get a hard boiled egg AND tempura onion rings.
- Justin TsuiMarch 29, 2015Crispy pork katsu can't be beat! Curry is smooth and has a slight sweet-tang, unexpected from a Japanese curry
- Brian SpearsAugust 17, 2014Small place, so sometimes they sell out. CALL AHEAD to avoid griping on Yelp. Guys are super cool and will tell you what they're out of.
- TeresaJune 19, 2015Closed now :/ but was a solid Japanese curry place. Chicken Katsu fried perfectly. Cauliflower side I will always miss
- George DyAugust 7, 2014The food here is spectacular. It tastes authentic and the cuts of meat aren't overcooked or fatty. Grab the chicken and add onion rings.
- Xixia WangAugust 10, 2014the katsu curry is so good!! watch out tho - I like spicy overall, but could only handle the mild 😳
- Tasting TableMay 10, 2012Try the classic pork katsu first. The golden fried cutlet is placed on a heap of rice with sauce alongside, so you can drown or dip: Read more
- Cherylynn NoronaOctober 26, 2011Love the thick sweet curry sauce. The "hot" is more mild so req "extra hot" for more heat. Late night weekend hrs are in the works.
- They don't have a liquor license but they invite you to bring your own. Bring a Sapporo to accompany the tasty curry.
- S L.February 20, 2013They specialize in curry. Seriously delicious katsu curry! Totally hits the spot. Ps: Bring cash.
- Dave JensenApril 11, 2012Get the onion rings, they're some of the best I've ever had. Then, dip them in the curry sauce. So good!
- Rob PegoraroNovember 15, 2014They can run out of food early, but if they still have the pork katsu you'll be all set.
- Scott AbernethyOctober 4, 2012Just yum. I highly recommend the Chicken Katsu (curry) with fried seasonal veges.
- katsu curry extra spicy with a boiled egg. you're welcome.
- Curry is the bomb. Get it hot with tempura onion rings.
- HopeAugust 21, 2014Worst Japanese curry I've had in a super pretentious "we're cool 'cause we're in the 'lion" setting . Skip it - any other place is better.
