One of the best places in the East Village to sit outside and enjoy brunch, or just a few Bloody Mary's/coffees. Opt for the partially hidden back garden for a romantic vibe (albeit slower service).

Free gym pass to Crunch Fitness. Most hotel gyms suck, but The Standard provides guests a pass to a full gym across the street. Get one each day. Not busy each time I’ve been there in morning (6-9a).

Great room with an amazing view! The bar is fun, and the new Narcissa restaurant serves really good food. Service is super nice, Makke at the door is outstanding and gives a really warm welcome!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Amazing south garden is a beautiful oasis for drinks and eats, the cafe out front is great and narcissa is one of my favorite restaurants.

The views are killer, and the service is typically on point. Downstairs garden and bar both nice spots to relax. Best place to stay in near the EV!

I much prefer this brand of The Standard to the High Line one; in the summer, grab a pavement seat and just drink, people watch and drink some more.

The sophisticated little sister. Go for a higher priced room - the basic are a bit small. Still, very cozy and the whole place has a great vibe.

Penthouse may not exist, but get a room on 20 or 21 facing East and the view really is expansive. May not be all that gorgeous, but you can spy the whole east village!

Four of the last five times I stayed here minibar charges have appeared even though I didn't touch it. Especially since it's always Gummi bears, which I can't eat. Double check your bill!

Service was really poor at the bar. I was sitting for over 15 mins before someone came by to ask for my order. I kept trying to flag a waitress down. I finally ordered one beer & got it 20 mins later

Ask for a room on the higher floor. The rooms are pretty small and so is the TV. But who needs one when you can stare at the Manhattan skyline. Great rooftop bar.
