This place supplies ridiculously cheap, deliciously authenticdumplings. It may almost always be hot and crowded inside but isn't that part of the New York experience? Read more
Sesame pancake with pork or duck + a bowl of beef noodle soup + an order of dumplings. The homiest meal you can get. And you'll still have left overs. And it'll total 10 dollars. Can't beat this place
This place blew my mind. The sesame pancake sandwich was a first for me, but was perfect. So many things done right. The value for the price is amazing.
Seriously cheap eats - like jaw dropping I'm never going to do the pre-payday starve again cheap. Get the pan fried pork and chive dumplings for freaking 1.25. Did I say it's cheap? (And delicious)
I am always amazed by the efficiency and value of this place. Everything on the menu is great!! Soups, noodles, sandwiches, and, of course, the dumplings!
The new location has great soup options (even veggie), whole wheat wrappers on the veg, &nicer ambiance than the 14th st location. Solid Bedford Ave option if you want quick, cheap, relatively healthy
Chicken and basil dumplings are so yum. Noodles with sesame sauce not so yum. Don't let the busy-ness and chaos distract you. Everyone here is very friendly and organized!
The Dan Dan Mian 担担面 here is sub par. The Spicy Wontons (Pork & Shrimp, Sichuan style) 红油炒手 was alright. Prices are reasonable. $10 cc min. Chinatown has better options. For the neighborhood, it's ok.
Cleaner than Chinatown one(thus, prob not quite as tasty), tough to beat noodles + sesame pancake + pint of decent beer < $10, but there's this constant high-pitched sound that's driving me insane
Veggie dumplings are the way to go, if you have to have a quick bite in the area. I’d avoid the Dan Dan—honestly felt terrible afterwards. Relatively cheap.
Chicken basilpan fried dumplings are pretty money... But I doubt there is anything that comes in a form of a dumpling and is fried can be anything but....
