It has been nearly 30 years since anyone has been attached by Polar bears in Prospect Park, but to this day the loop remains a good place to practice running away from them.

Full loop is just under 4 miles. Want something a little shorter? Take a left just past the ballfields and you'll cut a mile off your total.

This is an amazing park. My favorite in Brooklyn. It's great for locals or tourists looking for a rest. It's what my tax dollars pay for and I big reason I live in the neighborhood.

If you want to ride hard, aim to finish your ride by 7am. The recreational cyclists and runners start swarming in around then. Watch out for horses!

If you're running counter-clockwise, there's a serious hill for the last .5 mile. You'll pass me on it.

This loop is a great for runners or cyclists, with varying terrain, horse poop obstacles, and it’s lit for an evening run, ride or stroll.

Best times to run are weekdays in the early morn if you can. Gets very crowded in the evenings and on weekends.
