It's serviceable. Best [chance to get your intended workout in desired time frame is] before 6:30am and after 9:30pm.
After a four month renovation the West LA, LA Fitness is all new and looking great.
50% of cardio machines are broken at any given time. Renovations will NEVER begin. Memberships can be canceled only 9-5 M-F but at any location (like at your work during lunch...).- Great trainers. Tyler is really great too. The atmosphere is dismal. But for the price who can complain. There is usually street parking available if you look around
Finally re-opened. Nice new equipment. mens locker room still leaves a lot to be desired
Older, clunky spin bikes and .50 for parking. I do like how this location has a small track on the second level, though.
Huge but packed in the afternoons, always. Come early!
- Remodel looks amazing! This went from my least favorite location to my favorite.
The ventilation at this location is horrible! The HVAC system always seems to be non-functioning on the hottest days.
30-40% of the machines are broken & the free weight area is a mess.
- The locker room drains are already blocked..After less than a week
The lockers always smell like chlorine, Bengay, and balls.
- I was reminded this morning how disgusting the locker room area is.
I reported there being blood on one of the exercise machines and asked them to clean it. A week later the blood was still on the equipment. This place is a health hazard. Wear gloves on all equipment
- Make sure you drink plenty of water - it's so hot (lack of ventilation) in this place, it's easy to get over-heated/dehydrated.
Beware the grunge in the locker rooms. And theft. It happens. Bring a lock. Shadiest Bally's ever. Convenient location.
David RMarch 5, 2012You can't put lipstick on a pig. This was an old Ballys. Old equipment and gross locker rooms. As a bonus you get to pay for parking.- Bring a towel w/ you, the bathrooms are gross so avoid if possible. Be sure you have cash for the 50cent parking coin. Younger mix than culver gym. Never a wait.
Don't show up for the 545 spin class with Julie. She won't show up until 615.
Not only the worst LA Fitness I've ever been to but the worst gym period. Always dirty, almost every machine is broken on any given day..a prime example of terrible management
