This restaurant is soo good. I haven't been to any other Spanish restaurants in DC, so I can't make a comparison, but I can just tell you this is so, so good. Pan con tomate and escalivada are a must!
The bacon-wrapped dates here are LIFE. Perfect balance of sweet and salty with a gorgonzola-y surprise inside. Ask for a side of the bomb garlic aioli to go with the gambas al ajillo. 🍤
I am from Spain and the food was very authentic. Even the paella 🥘 was done the traditional way. Great options for after meal drinks!Service was fantastic, thanks to Milad for the personal touch.

Tasty different tapas options. Really good. But in my opinion the churro was the star if the show! Don’t miss it! Great option for drinks and date night.
Omg! Probably one pf the best restaurants in DC!!Come from 3-7 for sweet happy hour deals and enjoy delicious tapas! Patatas bravas are a must but also de nutellachurros or the rice with octopus 😄😍
Go to place for tapas in DC. Do the classics really well, patatas bravas, garlic shrimp, and those croquettes though! Don't forget a glass (or pitcher!) of sangria. Red, white, rose, all great.
The Bitches Say: Solid A. Everything was lovely. Nothing stood out as amazing, but we would never pass up such a solid bottomless brunch! Boqueria is the recipient of the Most Reliable award in 2013.
Washingtonian says don't miss: Sautéed spinach with raisins; grilled hanger steak with shishito peppers and mojo verde; kale salad with carrots and labneh; fennel-and-grapefruit salad.
Good Sangria. Solid tortilla. For the price, the gamberas were a deal and all that yummy sauce to sop up with good, crusty bread. Nutella stuffed churros don't live up to the hype.
You won't find a better combination of food, atmosphere and service. The gambas (shrimp), patatas bravas & meatballs are incredible, not to mention the sangria.
$39 for unlimited drinks and tapas during brunch for 2.5 hours. drinks are meh but fine, tapas (sort of catalan themed) are quite good. def worth it. spicy bloody marys
Don't go home without trying the Gambas al Ajillo. I don't care if you're on a first date with People's Sexiest Man Alive or Maxim's #1 spot, you better order that garlic shrimp dish.
Wine selection is not the best so better try something else to drink... Hanger steak, eggplantpita, patata brava and spinach salat are good... Churros are just OK!
Lively, Barcelona-style tapas bar serving a menu of Spanish classics—like paella, churros, sangria, pulpo, and much more— and market-driven seasonal specials in a warm, modern space in DC's Dupont district.
