David Chang's Thanksgiving croissant: As many things Chang are: rich, strong in flavor and a little odd. Also a bit greasy. Overall I thought it was really good but happy I went splitty splitty on it.
Expensive, festive cookies. They’re more a NYC novelty than they are delicious, but I’m a traditionalist 🍪Great for festive occasions. A large cold brew is $5.
I tried the marshmallow cornflake choc cookie, and the confetti cookie. Both were good, but... Confetti cookie was the winner, hands down! It was so soft and tasted like birthday cake.
Imagine if the Cronut guy opened a second bakery and you went there and bought a Cronut but when you opened the bag there was a cupcake inside. That's how it feels when you get a "pork bun" here.
I've been in here a few times over the years and I always leave perplexed on a few different levels. Dystopic? A bit. Signs of the end if an empire? Absolutely
A very cookie centric location. As always, they focus on taste, not needless sugar content, so a bodega candy binge might be a better fit for some folks commenting here 🙄
Came here after seeing the Netflix feature. Did not live up to hype sadly. Very different in person. Cookie was prepackaged - not fresh. Felt like something I could get in a supermarket. No vibe here.
The normally sloppy ingredients for a Reuben neatly tucked into a delicious Rye croissant. What more could you ask for? Makes for a great, if not indulgent, breakfast.
The pork bun is different than the city version. It's closer (but far inferior) to the ones you'll find in Chinatown. Except, here it's $8 plus tax and tip instead of $0.25. No, just no!
Gah. Hate to say this. Thanksgiving croissant wasn't as amazing as David Chang's IG made it seem. Turkey was tough, croissant was oily. Barely tasted gravy/cranberry. Thank God for the corn cookie.
Seriously wrong choice if you're looking for a quick grab and go breakfast. No plain croissants; no tea; rude cashier. Messy, $8 dessert for breakfast.
