Excellent brew at this small coffee house. Try the flat white and add an extra shot if you need a real pick-me-up. Pastries are yummy and fresh too. Ask for a frequent buyers card as well.

Filter has reopened as of Nov. 1, 2021. It’s back to serving some of the best espresso and coffee in DC.
- The space was renovated in 2021. There is no longer an upstairs for sitting. The shop has been integrated into the building lobby, which has seating available. The coffee is still great.

ian rNovember 19, 2014Kinda like the Blue Bottle of DC.. only the logo is orange here. I'm happy they offer a flat white, a hotter version of a cappuccino with less foam. Duh.
