    Gone are the days where meat was the only option. Check out the vegetarian and pescatarian menus and have the crispy prawn kale as a starter. The ambiance is really cool here.

    The so called steak sandwich should be called beef shavings on a puffy bun complemented by 10ish wafer thin room temp fries, served by a tattooed chump who's still clinging on to the hipster look!

    Amazing space with great food. You have to have the Piri Piri chicken and chips. Not the cheapest restaurant but worth it for a treat.

    Extremely limited vegetarian and vegan options, which are mainly mushroom based. The chips don't come vegetarian so make sure you specify, but the dips and decor make up for it.

    Spacious place with funky decor. Plates are obnoxiously presented & decent- not amazing. It's all about the vibe here. The beets with goat's curd was very good, however. Skip the croquettes & ribs.

    Chateau steak is great, get it med rare. Burger was very good too, substantial! Whipped butternut squash was delicious. Enough room for credit crunch ice cream!

    They also do takeout here at reasonable prices. Take a seat at the bar, have a chat with the lovely coffee barista and gaze at the Damien Hirst artwork as you await your epic steak sandwich.

    Chicken is great .... Good flavour and moist. Cocktails are very good but turn around is abit slow for 2nd, 3rd .... Drink (Monday evening)

    Great food and there's a decent separate vegan menu (ask for it, they don't give it out automatically) if you're going there with vegan friends.

    A v decent steak + bacon burger, quality relish and bun. Simple lunch with a Beaujolais, not cheap but it’s v good food in a designer setting in London, if you want amazing value, look elsewhere.

    You can't go far wrong with the half roast chicken and chips, with stuffing balls and gravy! Yorkshire Pudding and Pate appetizer is also great.

    Chateau steak was spot on, good quality meat and a decent medium cook. I went for their red wine recommendation, which I totally endorse: Tonnix Douro red wine, 2012

    Offers only two main-course options, chicken and steak. Chickens come to table – vertically spiked, with legs crossed big enough to feed three. The steak was flawlessly cooked.

    I'm aware of the fact that the installation is from Damien Hirst but it feels a bit weird eating with a big stuffed cow inside a box of water. Good meat though and cool interior design :)

    You should probably order at least one whole chicken for the table - it's quite a presentation. Don't be afraid to gnaw on the feet.

    Fantastic location for a good steak and chicken. Service to high standard and friendly but not overbearing. Go with the food and alcohol recommendations. Loved the Eton Mess.

    The chicken is a great meal for two. No need for side dishes - it comes with everything you need. Ask for extra stuffing, you'll need it!

    The old fashioned drink was excellent. Regarding the steak. 6 of us had a rant end cuts cooked between medium rare and medium, all of them were a bit too try.

    All the steak, all the chicken. If you can't decide (we couldn't and got both), go for the chicken. Can also vouch for the Tramshed red wine

    Amazing space and atmosphere. Food was good and the servers were excellent. You really must go for the Damien Hirst cow.

    Interesting setup. Loud and full on a friday night. steak is good but not out of this world. chicken comes in different sizes and weird presentation, but i heard it's delicious. good wine selection.

    Starters are a bit overpriced but the half chicken and rib eye steaks were just lovely. Also like the ability to order extra stuffing

    I discovered im a chicken snob. :( Realy wanted to enjoy it but it was a little bit dry for my taste. Amazing service and quality back to basics food. Most likely go for the stake next time.

    Both are good but the steaks are a notch above. Go with the Chateau Steak - with chips and watercress salad good value at £18.

    Steak was overcooked but still fairly tasty. Fries are super good though! Nice atmosphere and good value in general.

    Ignore the chicken and get a 500g steak. The adventurous can do a vodka/chicken shot as an apero. Service not great, and zero ventilation, so don't go on the hottest day of the year like I did.

    Impressive interior, with the Damien Hirst work in the centre of the restaurant. But to be frank, the food wasn't particularly impressive for the pricing. Service was fast and polite.

    Their website is called chickenandsteak.co.uk for a reason. That's their specialty & that's all they serve. Yea, they have a limited "pescatarian menu" but seriously, why bring your veggie mate here?
