Riverwalk Bar & Grill is located 1 block north of the Roosevelt Island station at 425 Main Street. Pick up drinks & sandwiches here before exploring the island. Or sit outside for lunch or a cocktail

Not too touristic ;) offers a nice view of the city- Swipe of metro card & u get to glide over beautiful views of East River with Manhattan & Queensboro Bridge. Those bumps don't mean it's going to fall every time.- Take the tram to Roosevelt Island. Dont be the typical tourist and head straight back. Instead walk the waterfront down to Four Freedoms park and savor the amazing views of Manhattan.
One of the best views in the city and a lot of fun. Dirt cheap too. All you need is a MetroCard.

Tourists it's best to ride it late at night. This way you don't annoy the island residents and workers who depend on this for their commute to and from work.
They recently redid the the station to include a roof to protect against the rain.
