- hello_emilyApril 21, 2016Miso eggplant was sweet & piping hot. The tortillas were tasty and the vegan Eton mess had great taste/textures. The drinks orders were really slow but the cocktails were great and service v friendlyUpvoted Mar 22
- CatJune 12, 2013From the top and go clockwise, cous cous aubergine (must try), wild mushroom polenta (best main out of the three, great truffle aroma) and finally asparagus rotolo (it's okay, I'll say 6/10)
- MaríaDecember 12, 2015The bunch of meat eaters sharing this meal with me loved it - especially the aubergine Schnitzel. The starters were okay, but the mains are so much better. Really creative kitchen. Have a rosemary G&T
- Chris LarkinSeptember 7, 2015The courgette flowers and mushroom gnocchi were excellent. The cocktails were also a highlight. Menu changing to Autumn/Winter soon, so look forward to trying a new set of dishes.
- Jade AtkinsJune 5, 2017Wild mushroom risotto cake is vegan, gluten-free and outrageously tasty. Vegan (and gf) Eton mess was a welcome surprise. Great wine selection. Nothing but love ❤️
- IfeoluwaAugust 23, 2016I'm a hardcore carnivore & was a veggie restaurant skeptic until The Gate made me a believer. The Miso Glazed Aubergine is delicious, melt in your mouth goodness. The wild mushroom main is also tasty.
- Frankie RobertoApril 12, 2015Great vegetarian food in a lovely high ceilinged room. The brunch menu on weekends is good value – I had the shakshuka which was delicious. The potato chat starter is great too.
- Puj GApril 15, 2016Great food and the options are amazing. Who would've thought you could be so creative with vegetarian dishes? Really impressed and food just as tasty. Would definitely recommend.
- Scy DVJune 10, 2019Get the courgette flower, aubergine and polenta chips. The summer pudding was very good, and the peanut butter brownie was alright but could have been more chocolately.
- Agathe BarbierMarch 3, 2014The food is so nice and the staff lovely. They have a great selection of wines and beers. I ordered Carciofini as a starter which was delicious and Cauliflower Rotolo I would recommend it.
- CatJune 12, 2013Desserts, from top and clockwise: orange sponge cake (too hard, not that great), Panna cotta was lovely with rosewater flavour and pear tart tartin was 6.5/10. I don't suggest desserts here.
- This place has amazing vegetarian food! Every dish we had was just great. The restaurant itself is just ok but it worth a try for its amazing food.
- sajNovember 5, 2014the service was great& I wantd 2like the food but I didn't.I won't go bak.beetroot ravioli was not pasta but 3slices of beetroot with soft cheese inside?the mains were ok,but I could make a better. :(
- StacyNovember 9, 2013As the quintessential carnivore, I was a bit skeptical, but the involtini starter was really yummy and tasted meaty! I did not leave hungry :)
- Jennifer McAloneMarch 24, 2017Beautiful food. We had the shared mezzo platter, the aubergine main and the risotto cakes and all were lovely. Service great.
- Evening StandardAugust 22, 2012The Halloumi Kibi is a perfect summer dish, while the Huevos Rancheros (Mexican breakfast of fried eggs on salsa and tortillas) make a hearty brunch. Read more
- Chris R (thechristophe)January 10, 2015Insanely delicious even for meat eaters (I'm told) lovely vegetarian restaurant, great for brunch or dinner.
- Jillian JacksonOctober 14, 2018Was a bit sceptical about this at first, however it was really delish! Lots of different options you wouldn’t realise are veggie.
- Megan LuffAugust 13, 2017Great cocktails. A classier vegetarian place, for those tired of going to only veggie cafes. Lovely food.
- Metro.co.ukDecember 10, 20124/5 stars: Much of the food has an Asian/Middle Eastern flavour, probably because the original owners, brothers Michael and Adrian Daniel, are Indo-Iraqi-Jewish, which means lots of spicing Read more
- Heidi JamunaMay 9, 2016Beetroot tart was yummo, and the ginger beer drink also great, herb polenta chips yummo!
- Josef SzottenNovember 2, 2015I'll chime in with the rest. The polenta chips were great and so were the Huevos Rancheros
- Mike StenhouseSeptember 21, 2014The chipotle polenta was delicious and everything else looked good too. Lovely service as well.
- Darren CJanuary 12, 2016Vegetarian restaurants always try harder. Great service, beautiful venue very flavourful food
- SegoleneDecember 18, 2013Finally a vegetarian restaurant that just feel like a 'regular' restaurant. Good service, nice place, great dishes.
- Linda McbainFebruary 15, 2015Great for weekend brunch - the shakshuka or huevos rancheros particularly tasty.
- James FoxMarch 16, 2015Loads of vegan and vegan optional food. Absolutely delicious, gonna eat the menu.
- Neel MistryNovember 9, 2013What a find! Incredible food. Try the carrot and ginger smoothie. Amazing!!!!!
- Fabien ButazziApril 19, 2013The best cheesecake of my entire life (with caramelised pineapple and coconut).
- Luke TulloDecember 20, 2015Stunning vegetarian and vegan starters and mains. Dessert good but not special, service a bit mixed.
- Brittany SübersAugust 27, 2018We had the two appetizers, burger, sweet potato and pomegranate salad, polenta chips, peach with ice cream, and cheesecake... it was all terrible. It took us 2 hours start to finish. Won’t be back.
- Spike KnowlesFebruary 15, 2013Ignore the fascist meat-obsessives. Have a great veggie meal here free from the smell if cooked horse.
- AvonJanuary 5, 2018Tasty but overpriced. I was still hungry and could have happily gone to another restaurant for a main meal and I’m a skinny young woman. Not value for money.
- Morena FioreJune 6, 2014You can see they put a lot of thought in the menu and the food but the portions are not big
- Ain TohvriJanuary 9, 2018Average food, sloppy service. Waiter leaning behind the counter to eat his lunch and just turning his back at the end without notice wasn’t very fitting for the location. Out of place and tune. Avoid.
