    Sometimes it gets closed for sand romoval. If closed it is a nice place to ride a bike or run.

    Don't bother coming here on a windy day. The Great Highway always closes due to wind storms and you'll get sandblasted by the wind!

    They don't call it "Great" for nothing! Do yourself a favor and stop at either end of this stretch of road around sunset for a real treat.
