Take a walk along the bridge at sunset. Watch the boat coke in and out of the bay...just don’t get stuck while driving when the bridge is up 😬

When it's nice out and boat season you had better plan your trips to ballard, Fremont or downtown with an extra 30-40 minutes buffer time!

Very cool bridge but the pedestrian lanes are very narrow so be careful when walking or running with headphones because there might be a cyclist behind you.

Avoid the bridge at 3:55 pm and 6:05 pm- they can't open it between 4 and 6 for traffic, so just before and after there's usually boats waiting that'll make it raise...

One of my favorite bridges in Seattle. The view is beautiful on a sunny day.

Might be worth going over the Aurora Bridge instead during boating season.

You can get out and watch the boats when the ridge is up. Don't forget to turn off your engine.

Cops like to sit at the corner of the first street just north of the bridge. On the east side of 15th.

Don't try to drive over the bridge when its going up. Your car will NOT make the jump, and all that underwater car training does no good with electric windows and a concussion from the impact

Turn off the car. Contrary to popular belief, restarting your car does not burn more fuel than leaving it idling. In fact, idling for just 10 seconds wastes more gas than restarting the engine.

Report the oil spills to the US Coast Guard that you see coming from a derelict fishing vessel moored at Fishermen's Terminal.

It's best to buy the Mayor a beer if you see her. She will permit you with a "No wait for the Bridge" pass.

Try to avoid stopping if the bridge goes up. If the lights are blinking yellow, put your foot down. It takes forever!
