Get cash before you go! The two cash machines (at Sainsburys Local & Herne Hill Station) will have 20+ minute queues at peak times and invariably run out of cash quite early on.

Nice market just as you come out the station. There are fish, meat, vegs, cakes, clothes stalls. Try the "beast" gallete for £6, sublime.
