The University campus is vast & beautiful. Different things flower and bloom at different times and there are many nice paths to wander. In the Spring the cherry blossoms are mind-blowingly abundant.
UW campus is worth a visit all on its own. Going there prior to becoming a student is a must -- that way nothing (like academic frustrations) dilutes the utter beauty of the place.
Don't assume the cars will stop for you at a crosswalk. And the students riding their bikes are insane. I do love the campus though. Very energetic and beautiful.
be sure to check out the reading room at Suzzallo library (reminds you of Harry Potter!), rainier vista, the quad, and maybe stop by the 8 at McMahon hall while you're there.
Microsoft's Bill Gates used to sneak out of his parents' house at night to use the computers here. Back then, only large institutions had powerful computers, and they were all tied up during the day.
Fresh koshersandwiches are available on the UW campus in two locations: in Husky Den Etc., on the north campus, or in Terry/Lander, at 2 Convenient, on south campus. Sandwiches by Nosh Away.
