- Mandar MAugust 23, 2013To visit the rooftop 1) use the salvation taco restaurant entrance 2) ask the hostess within restaurant to put you on the waiting list 3) when they text you in upto 30 mins they will give you a stamp
- The Corcoran GroupAugust 5, 2013We love coming here for the beautiful rooftop bar and views, along with the expertly crafted cocktails. Beware: there can be a long wait to get up to the roof, as the space is pretty small.
- Radairis DiazMarch 13, 2019Had drinks and appetizers after work in their indoor restaurant. Come early because it gets crowded fast! Ribs were to die for! Couches were comfy and romantic. Great for date night.
- Condé Nast TravelerJuly 27, 2016Original brick arches and terra cotta columns comprise a roof of century-old ruins. You’ll catch a glimpse of Freedom Tower, but it's more likely that your eyes will be on the crowd. Read more
- AditiApril 18, 2016Beautiful and one of the more "chill" rooftops in the city. Expert note: get there before 4. The rooftop bar is closed but you can take your drinks to go from downstairs and skip the lines!
- Marie La RueFebruary 25, 2018One of the Best Rooftop Bars in Midtown. Brick wall architecture with the arches makes for a nice intimate atmosphere. Good cocktail selection. Only downside is the wait - arrive early.
- Great rooftop with amazing cocktails and tequila selection. Vero Mango and Vida Verde are the best, plus the yummy and spicy guacamole and chips they serve up there. Great bartenders, good music.
- Pierre van MedgeSeptember 8, 2013Get a Greenport Harbor Devil's Plaything. A hot pepper and citrus fruit infused IPA brewed by the North Fork of Long Island brewery especially for Salvation Taco and the Pod 39 Rooftop Bar. Delicious!
- CristinaJuly 7, 2014Wow! I loved the whole experience. Great service and food.. Ask for the Margarita! The rooftop is very cute! I came at 6, best hour.
- Jen StarAugust 16, 201717th floor of this c.1916 "young-minded" Pod 39 Hotel. Original brick arches and terra cotta columns frame the roof, punctuated by crawling ivy, potted plants, and Mexican-tiled tables.
- Kathy MatthiesenAugust 23, 2016Great cocktails, guacamole, and views of NYC. There's a Salvation Taco downstairs at the hotel entrance if you're looking to satisfy your drunk munchies
- CharlottesMay 14, 2015Ridiculous system for getting upstairs, but it's worth the horror of the wait at the downstairs bar. The rooftop is fun, packed but fairly quick service, and nice views.
- Angelina ZeppieriJuly 17, 2016awesome rooftop bar, long wait to get up but quirky and cool, and delicious drinks
- Elena OmelchenkoOctober 5, 2016The astonishing and breathtaking view, absolutely not a fancy place, casual and relaxed atmosphere. Great place for a drink in the evening
- Joanne ReinardOctober 18, 2016Such a romantic little place! Rooftop doesn't have an amazing view but at least the decoration is! Good prices but there's a little wait.
- Asli SJune 28, 2017Cute rooftop and nice view. Packed around 5:30 on a weekday, quieted down after 6. Try The Upside Down! Pricey but strong.
- Rebecca WAugust 31, 2014Fantastic venue. Great views and beautiful architecture. The food is great too :)
- Brenda BeeJune 1, 2013Beautiful rooftop and gorgeous views of the city. Perfect for summer weather. Order drinks two at a time however-- the bartenders take awhile
- DoubleDeuceSeptember 14, 2016Good views. The wait at the bar can be longer than you'd like at times but it's relaxed and outside.
- Burcu KaradayıSeptember 23, 2016Nice place to have some time with friend and drink. Coctails are really good. Nearly no music.
- MattJune 15, 2013Went on a Friday night, no cover, but the wait took a while. It was about an hour before we could go to the roof. Very busy bar, but amazing views and good drink selection.
- Julia SandlerSeptember 1, 2016Amazing rooftop bar! Great crowd and atmosphere. The frozen watermelon margarita was lethal! 😀
- Shilpi RoongtaAugust 6, 2014great view and vibe - see the Freedom Tower, Crysler and Empire State buildings all from this one spot!
- Kaitlyn PezikMay 10, 2015one of my least favorite roof tops, crazy line to get in and overall disappointing once you get up there.
- Noëlle DevlinOctober 1, 2014Such a great space. A little pricey but not crazy. I will definitely bring visitors to this spot.
- Dorothy ChanAugust 25, 2015Love this place, super chill, sangria pitcher for $70 equally to 10 glasses, lovely atmosphere - string lights!
- Shani AdiaAugust 1, 2013Get there early (before 9pm) or they'll be a wait. Beautiful views of empire stare building and midtown
- Raja HAugust 31, 2013If you have foursquare, use it to find a better rooftop bar. Pod 39 looks nice at first glance, but that's where it ends. Their weak drinks don't help either
- Michelle WilesJuly 22, 2013fantastic view! Fills up quickly, so get there early if possible to avoid the line
- Nicholas BorgeMay 25, 2018Nice quaint rooftop, but gets packed just after work, and service can be iffy.
- Nick StanzioneSeptember 13, 2014Great low key roof to grab a drink. Food available from salvation taco downstairs.
- Mila MilaAugust 30, 2014Pork belly soup was amazingggg. And the meatballs were almost better than the Meatball shop
- Thomas MoAugust 7, 2015The stamp they made you get while waiting rubs off, some transfer it to your friends! Also they don't always check for the stamp.
- Greg BrunoJuly 22, 2017Go here in the afternoon on weekdays and you essentially have the roof to yourself.
- Brad KleinApril 4, 2016"It feels like you're not in NYC anymore up here - like you've been xported to mexico" - not a horrible way to Basically describe it up here. Spiced rims on margs = ++++
