- go to http://gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/ and take a look at what this area was like in 1924. check out the old aerial photographs of the city. you will hardly recognize it.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- There are about 4 sets of stairs along the pedestrian/bike path. You can slide your bike down the ramps.Upvoted Feb 21
- There’s also a pedestrian/bike path that allows you to get to Randall’s Island. Along the walk/ride, there is a phone that connects to the suicide prevention hotline.

- If youre driving in early morning, get there before 655am if youre paying cash. You'll be stuck when the toll people switch out.

- The original name Tri-Boro Bridge was just fine. Go figure
- The city has to claim it has no money bit can waste it changing the name of the bridge. No pictures allowed from the bridge
- Watch out for Port Authority Police cars parked on the shoulder enforcing the speed limit.
- slow down for the sharp turn after the bridge on the Bronx-bound lanes, the pavement is a mess and will jack up your alignment!
