You may wanna go see it if you're a tourist. Beyond being a tourist attraction, wharf offers great seafood restaurants options, along with other chains such as boudin, chipotle, in-an-out burger etc.

Fans of the traditional English seaside pier will feel right at home here: touristy but fun. Make sure to visit the pier head for great views of the bay and Alcatraz.

Fisherman's Wharf gets its name from the Gold Rush. Our Michelin footwear, with its tire traction on the sole, will keep you grounded and slip-free in case you find any slippery spots along your way!

Must see area; with a lot of touristic attractions, gift shops, lounges and restaurants. Lively by noon and during the day; not that crowded after 8pm. Beware if the pickpockets.

    Been here 5+ times
Just an incredible wharf featuring many of San Fran's iconic sights, including the big ship wheel (photo op!) -- but, really, how to choose where and what to eat?

World famous Fisherman's Wharf was pretty cool. Music playing, plenty to eat and choose from. However, if you do not like seafood (like me) you food options are more limited.

Grab some seafood, hit up the touristy shops, get the original Irish Coffee at Buena Vista, checkout Hyde Street Pier, ride the iconic cable car, something for everyone in this neighborhood.

Must have gone during a high tourist season because I found the dramatic view of Fisherman's Wharf from the Golden Gate Bridge much preferable to actually visiting that area. Boudins is great though!

Pretty photo ops and fun touristy part of town. But bear in mind it is touristy and other parts of the city have much more interesting sights and much better food.
