- Simon B.February 16, 2014The cheapest option to go downtown is to get the free bus out of Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 inside the airport. Hop off in '2', cross over the motorway and get the train, costs R$1,70 / person.

- In terminal 2, try to wait for you flight in the right side of the waiting lounge where the AC is higher!!!

- Welcome to Porto Alegre! It is not a local custom to tip cabs a lot - R$1-R$2 at most. I'm not saying not to tip, just that even if you pay the meter you should be fine. They may charge per suitcase.
- Last chance to buy chocolates from Gramado before you takeoff. The store is at the embarcation floor.
- You can catch the metro train into town or north towards Novo Hamburgo.
- Late night (AA 203) everything except one Dufry store are closed.

- A true reflection of transportation in the country. Bad service. Pretentious service. Expensive as hell. Limited people speak other language than Portuguese.
