Lucille FisherMarch 29, 2017Heart of the city. Beautiful Soviet architecture though with a unique Armenian style. I love the terra-cotta bricks they use. It's reminiscent of the colors of the Armenian countryside.

The square was designed by architect Alexander Tamanian within the 1924 main plan of Yerevan city. Use only taxis standing in front of Noyan Tapan bookstore. The rest ask for extrahigh fee, especially for tourists.
