Eat brunch and listen to old school music. Go with the chicken and waffles with a side of cheesy grits. You won't regret it. Check this place out on Monday nights for Happy hr drinks and good music.
Goombay ButchJanuary 5, 2016Checked out Marvins on a Monday night for their hip hop night and I wasn't disappointed. The layout of this spot is great and even with the cold temperatures outside, they still had a nice crowd.

New/Improved roof deck is way too packed on the weekends; but perfect for a drink, on weekdays. For food, can't beat the chicken and waffles. REALLY wish they still had the lamb chops though..

carla elaineJuly 7, 2013Cute rooftop place that could benefit from getting a better sound system. Bartenders move at sloth's pace. Pretty diverse mid twenties & up crowd.
This is my favorite bar in all of DC. The rooftop patio is so much fun and the drinks are reasonable. Plus, the food downstairs is tasty, especially the burger. I've never had a bad time here.

Best rooftop lounge in the city. Good beer on tap and the people that frequent this place are always interesting. When there is a good DJ, this place is perfect.

Hit Monday night for Soul Controllers Set. Don't worry about work on Tuesday, the groove from the night before will get you thru! Good music!
They lose cool points because they included gratuity on the dinner check for my party of 2.

Brian GreerMay 5, 2017The food was subpar as the portion sizes were small for the price we paid. Also because we had a group of 6 the gratuity was included and then the service was subpar as well. Our waiter was rude.
