- Chris HainesMay 4, 2013Truly beautiful on a warm and sunny afternoon, whiling away the hours on benches by the fountain. Also there are free wifi benches!
- Andrew CSeptember 4, 2018Cute little (actually quite large) park with plenty of seating and green space... lots of bus traffic and near handful of cafes and coffee shops!!Upvoted 22 hours ago
- Henrik HägglundSeptember 28, 2016Love British parks, they're cute and cozy. Grab a sandwich or coffee nearby and chillax for a while
- DanielNovember 11, 2015Just have a seat at one of the many benches, enjoy the foutains and fresh air and watch the squirrels.
- Nicole MillsNovember 5, 2023Russell Square is a large garden square in the Bloomsbury neighborhood. Take in the greenery whilst enjoying a coffee at Caffe Tropea. The park is locked at night.
- One of the best medium park squares in London. Cosy and relaxing on a summers day. If you work close by, it's a treat!
- Pete HarmerOctober 24, 2018Nice square near UCL and the British Museum, good place to sit and read a book in the sun
- GoToMidtownAugust 23, 2012A great square for lunch, and with the British Museum & Brunswick Centre close, you are spoiled for cultural & retail choices. To see more of the area visit the GoToMidtown Shop, 56 New Oxford Street Read more
- Instead of going to the nearby British Museums visit the Wellcome Collection at Euston Road, it offers exhibitions on science, medicine, art and design
- Dave MarshallJanuary 8, 2016Ideal to pair with the British museum for a day out. Squirrels are often grazing off tourists here
- David ColemanOctober 24, 2013A nice place to sit down and relax. I also think that the water fountain is not too bad.
- Andrew MarksSeptember 4, 2014Really lovely park, and across the street from Senate House and the British Museum. Perfect for a bit of peace.
- Ierax HolargeusJanuary 20, 2022One of the very best parks of London. Equally beautiful all year long. Breathe and enjoy.
- Cut east from the north east corner of the Square, along Bernard St... on your left you'll see the Brunswick Centre - a real nice 1960s building that has been restored and turned into a shopping place
- BenApril 28, 2010A lovely place to go on a summers day. It does quite busy with all the students nearby though. There is also a little fountain in the middle.
- Russell Sq on Google Earth - camera caught an airliner overhead.
- Chancellor of ViceMarch 15, 2012Come for the fountain. Stay for the assorted nutters that mill about the place.
- Peter LadaJune 7, 2010Walk north of the station along Marchmont St. Full of nice bars and restaurants. High street of Camden.
- Tony GilbertSeptember 3, 2011This park was a nice break from all the crowds - plenty of benches to relax for a while.
- Aen SirinelSeptember 15, 2018Squirrels all over the place, and the British Museum is just around the corner.
- Annabel ReevesNovember 30, 2011DO NOT drink catering's coffee at the Russell Hotel. It's beyond vile. Head to the coffee bar in reception.
- Chill for some minutes, breath fresh air and watch the squirrels running around...
- PipJuly 19, 2010Ideally get yourself in shorts and flip flops or at least take shoes & socks off and get in the fountains.
- Pretend that you have something in your hand when you are making eyecontact with a squirel, and watch him approach you!
