- Io As SoonAugust 14, 2018It’s a beautiful and peaceful place. The little village of Giverny where is both the garden and the house of Monnet is worth for a visit.
- Sam PezzulloAugust 14, 2013One of my favorite places in France. A short train ride from Paris, then a beautiful bike ride through the countryside of Normandy to Giverny. A scene from the impressionist painting "Water Lilies."
- Emma RyanJuly 17, 2013Beautiful! No pics in house but plenty of opps in garden. Get there early to avoid coach parties. Note that the shuttle bus to/from Vernon only connects with direct Paris trains. Taxi is €5 each.
- Candace MetzgerJune 23, 2019Beautiful and worth the visit. Very busy on a Sunday but note that Guests with prepaid tickets (online) get to enter at a special entry. Don’t think you have to wait in the super long line!
- Carmen LawrenceMay 7, 2014Buy tickets ahead on line. Bypass the large line of people and enter on the second entrance down the lane, with no waiting! Most beautiful garden I have ever seen, anywhere!
- Damien ChenotAugust 21, 2013Buy your tickets online and print them before going there. Then, go past the house into the side street on the 1st left to enter. You'll avoid the huge line of people waiting to buy tickets there.
- JuliaAugust 12, 2014We took the first train from Paris (8:20), and a cab from Vernon to Giverny (15 euros, vs. 4 per person on the bus). Went straight to the japanese bridge and got pics with no one else on it! Worth it!
- Joy LeungJuly 21, 2017Rent a bike - 20mins to Giverny. Get a combined ticket for both museum and le jardin. Don't eat at the museum, there are some more options further away (towards vernon, not to le jardin)
- Enzo MartinelliSeptember 16, 2021The most amazing garden for people who love impressionist painting and Monet
- Feyza ArikanJuly 15, 2015I do not like flowers or paintings and I am hardly into romantic things this way. But you will love the gardens and want to paint :)))
- Gary WalshJune 1, 2014Lovely garden- buy a ticket online and skip the queue- it was an hour wait when we were there
- Sofia UzAugust 13, 2015Great trip! Dont expect too much, cute little house, luscious gardens, picturesque pond, crowds and crowds of picture takers
- Nicole ForbesApril 5, 2017Buy your tickets in advance so you can just walk into the house. It is an amazing place.
- Robert KeeslerSeptember 8, 2015Well worth the trip but make sure to save time for the village behind Monet's house.
- Katy ZackAugust 21, 2016Gorgeous gardens surround a pond of water lilies, which became immortalized in Monet's paintings
- CherietteAugust 11, 2014Going back in time, beautiful flowers and the Lilly pond ofcourse, discovered that the gift shop used to be Monet's studio. 10+
- Ashleigh GardnerJuly 5, 2015Stunning gardens, but overwhelming crowds. Would be so much better without the noisy school trips of bored kids.
- Viator.comJanuary 21, 2012In 1883 Monet fell in love with the place through a train window. He found a house there, moved in with his lady-friend, his two sons, and her six children, and stayed until his death in 1926! Read more
- Nicholas AllioJuly 5, 2018Beautiful and inspiring place. Be careful at the bus timetable if you don’t want to get stuck in here!
- Gordon WrightJune 20, 2016It's a beautiful garden but overrun by tourists attempting to photograph every flower.
- Larissa FerroniSeptember 11, 2015Its beautiful, but a normal garden. You lose a day... Its close from Paris but the first trains back start at 14:53, so Id only come in a spair day or if I really love Monet. If here eat at Musardiere
- FabioSeptember 8, 2013Relaxing n wonderful. Short train ride from Paris. Go online n print tckts ahead
- Tatiana Pimenta DelarozaJuly 8, 2017Lugar lindo! Inspiração... a parte do lago é lindo, muito bem cuidado.
