The best place to find the missing pieces of your peace of mind :) Lush green trails, bird watching, vast waters, empty benches, rain, music, a stupid friend and a coffee!!

Don't forget to hike up to the viewpoint on the southwest side of the park for an amazing view of the sound. There are also caves that are said to be in a secret area of the park.

There is a nice playground for kids, a picnic area, the beach, and Alaskan Way Railroad - children love to watch trains crossing by. Also there are many frains for hiking and riding a bisycle.

Pretty decent park to be right smack in the middle of the city. If you are looking for a long hike this isn't the place... you will need to do laps in this place.

Careful... Have noticed mid to late 30's blondish white male + glasses exhibiting stalking-like behaviors on more than one occasion. Today, Sept 1st, was wearing dark blue t-shirt w light shorts

Love this park, it's my new hiking spot. The trails are great, the views are amazing, there's a beach and a train that passes by every once in a while.

Miss the peak salmon viewing in July at the Ballard Locks? Head here in the late fall, when Piper's Creek is alive with salmon returning to their spawning grounds.Powered by ParentsConnect.com Read more

Favorite run: beginning near the entrance off 100th Pl, along the canal all the way to the sound, then up the bluff, and back
