- Ian EichelbergDecember 21, 2014There's an entrance at Pulaski as well as Irving Park Rd. Also it's right next to the metra so it's easy to transfer.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Todd T.'s tip is BS. Train is the best, most efficient way to get around the city.
- The north side of the Irving park bus stop under the blue line is disgusting! Pigeon feathers, bird crap, cigarette butts, and garbage everywhere. I usually walk to the next bus stop.
- Stand by the heated shelters in the winter while you wait!
- If your transfer card just expired and your out of cash to pay for a fare, then go to the South entrance on Pulaski & ask someone if you can go through the turnstile with them =-)
- MJ WaltersOctober 23, 2015The station always smells like pee. The platform is freezing cold in the winter, and I don't think it's handicapped accessible.
- Learn how to walk on a platform during rush hour jerks.
- If you want to pass the time while you wait for your train just listen to your music and count the mice running around on the train.
- You should always double your travel time from this area to make sure you get to your destination on time. If it takes 20mins, allow 40. Train timing on the NW side is terrible.
- If it's cold out. Try not to stop there. You'll see why. :)
- Michael MaccaferriApril 17, 2011Chicago Card reader at south entrance is often janky. Try taking card out if wallet if it doesn't read correctly.
- one of the card readers on harlem blue line station is still out of order, day 7th and counting. waiting line is a permanent fixture.
- Alternate card-only entrance/exit on Pulaski just south of Irving Park.
- Not a station you want to travel to if you have luggage. Go to Addison or Montrose instead....there are escalators to street level.
