Great train station. it's already transformed; good public facilities, various merchants like in Mall, various restaurants, cafes, it's clean and very good services.
I went to Jakarta and this stasion is the first stop.. big stasion has North and South Gate, very comfortable and easy to find what you want such as restaurant..

Kenali medan anda. Know your options. Even Bluebird taxis in the area would give you a bargain price. Walk out to the bus stop and catch a taxi would be best!
I'm happy because I can get my cappucino or latte or espresso in here because Starbucks, KFC and Hokben for my meals, Crispy Creme and Bread life for my snacks and of course 7Eleven.
The best train station in Jakarta. Clean, spacious, and has lots of food options. There's also a coworking space for for ticket holders if you need to get something done.
There's a coworking space at the north end. It's FREE if you have boarding pass and KAI app installed in your mobilephone. The internet sucks, but has aircon and proper work desks and power outlets.

Clean and bright, just be here at least 30 minutes before your departure time.

Make sure you know where you're going and wait at the right place (can be so crowded at times), keep your belongings safe
Wing Wahyu WinarnoMay 12, 2013The restaurants are oke. There are KFC, CFC, and Hoka Hoka Bento :-) Also, there are newstands which sell newspapers, tabloids, and mags.
The signs and directions are clear, some of the food are overpriced, easily reached. Wanna buy some oleh-oleh? There're Kue Lapis, Roti Unyil, Roti Maryam, Bika Ambon Medan..

Go to Soto Kriuk if you want electricity sockets to charge phones/laptop, smoking area indoors, some wifi connections to steal + good meal for only around Rp.20.000,-

If you arrive late at night, use the passenger-area toilet before you leave. The one outside by the parking area closes early... Sucks if you want to offload your luggage first, I know
For morning or late night train you'd better prepare socks and hoodie. It could be freakin freezy brrrr!
Print the ticket at least one hour before departure time to anticipate long queue at the station

To avoid long queue, purchase the advance ticket by phone (Mandiri, BRI and BII card holder only). Call 121 or 02121391121. ADVANCE TICKET ONLY. Works well on me. 7500 IDR added charge.

mytravelliciousNovember 8, 2012Main train station in Jakarta. To exit, use North exit. A meter taxi is there, use Blue Bird. My first time here, I exit at South, no taxi, didn't use meter. 100k to mangga dua. Expensive!
Be sure to catch up with the schedule because the train is nearly always on time
