Pay attention to your right when first entering the airport and driving to terminal 1. There is a beautiful Concorde, symbol of France's aeronautical greatness, mounted on the grass as if taking off!
Very limited selections of shopping. Especially magazines and books. Better shop in town. Call and bookTaxi G7 for your ride from the city. They are quiet reliable!
Security line is super quick; once you get through there are very limited stores, aka 1 store and 1 coffee shop. Enjoy shopping and lounge access as long as you can before your getting to your gate!
This terminal has a cool spiral shape, quick service and very secure. There's also free sponsored wifi (every other airport should start doing the same as a plus, we are in 2014 after all)
Beautifully designed and really unique interior, but the security has only few lines, so queues can be long. Sometimes you will need to reverse down stairs after reaching the end of automated floor.
Check in early and take the CDG Shuttle to the other terminals to eat and shop pre-security. And the famous Paul chain kiosk in Term 2 train station is excellent French patisserie to go (great bread)
Still a classic - great architecture, fascinating design, and the multilevel atrium with tubular travellators is just fun. Definitely an airport to have a closer look at.
Watch out! When you go through THE FIRST security, you are not done. Don't approach you're gate until you are fed and watered - nothing much on the far side...
They didn't let cheese in the carry on on the plane. They told that the cheese is considered to be cream. Staff was rude and careless. Duty free is very small, literally 1 shop and cafe with a queue 👎
And when you think it can't get any worse since you have seen all akward airport lounges on planet earth (including the LH shared lounge at AMS Schiphol), you enter the LH dungeon at CDG T 1 Cont.
T 1 made a big step forward with the recent improvements after the, well, redesigning. Still, it's an outdated concrete nightmare which does not match Lufthansa's quality standards at all.
TheSaddest thing about cheese, that they didn't provide any documents to proof that it cannot be in your carry on.All my friends had brought it in their carry on before.Had to throw it away. Miserable
Dirty, inconvenient, rude security staff, limited options for shopping and food, a terminal to avoid by all means. Sorry CDG, terminal 1 us a disgrace in an overall dated and ugly airport
Get to airport around 4 hours before your schedule departure if you are intending to get detaxe. Customs stamping is quick but getting cash from travelex is pretty slow
ENORMOUS immigration clearance line on 2nd level for non-EU passports! 200+ people. Moving decently quickly, but don't delay getting up here. 1040a, 25-Aug10.
Security lines long. Boarding announcements are limited. Screen shows flight on time. But flight was 35 minutes delayed. Take elevator to -1 for Lufthansa lounge. Few stores. Not a good experience.
