This absurdly rich, fatty, umami-loaded tonkotsu ramen is one of the best in San Francisco. Add the Kakuni (pork belly) & soft-boiled egg and read all about this hidden shop on WinstonWanders below! Read more

Tonkotsu Soup: thick yet SUPER salty!Noodle: thin yet chewy, decent!Toppings: that's the smallest piece of Chāshū I've ever seen! Never seen mushrooms & spinach elsewhere?Egg: $1 extra! Legit!

Get one of the tables by the window with the soft benches. Miso ramen with egg, hot green tea, maybe some sake. Open late during the week.

There are 2 RU locations, this one & in FiDi on Kearney. There is definitely more seating here. You might have to wait, but it usually isn't a long wait. Get the ramen; always add a soft boiled egg

Tonkotsu ramen with herb butter, corn, soft boiled egg and pork belly - DONE. Ask for a bit of garlic and toss in some togarashi for extra flavor!

Bitcoin accepted here! They also take cash and there's an ATM ($3 fee) across from the entrance.

Was here for cherry blossom festival. Service was terrible, made you order at door prior to seating despite there were open tables. menu was very limited "for event" and prices were jacked up.
