Bar Bolonat kicks Israeli cuisine into overdrive. Order the Jerusalem bagels, they're baked & paired with olive oil and a cup of za'atar, a fragrant blend of oregano, thyme, savory, sumac and salt. Read more

Bar Bolonat is the new modern Israeli restaurant from Einat Admony. The menu includes shrimp in "Yemenite curry," kibbeh stuffed with spiced beef, & steak with freekeh salad and tahini.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. Would recommend trying 2 smaller plates rather than an entree. Really enjoyed the shrimp curry, cauliflower, fried olives, short rib and ravioli.

If you like Israeli food, this is a must! And, their wine selection is great too. This Israeli wine was delicious. A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Barbera.

Great Middle Eastern leaning Israeli food, way better than Balaboosta, from the Taim chef. Jerusalem bagel, lamb neck, and the gin cocktail were standouts.

Here's your meal for 4 people: Jeru Bagel, Fluke Ceviche, Beets / Za'atar Ravioli, Erryday Cauliflower, Kibbeh / Wild Mushroom Pasta, Poussin. Pair with the Le More, Sangiovese. Kol hakavod, you won.

Always reliable - don't miss the fried olives, bagel, or cauliflower, but my personal favorite was the grilled eggplant!

One of the best restaurants overall in the west village. Amazing flavors! Cauliflower is off the hook. Octopus, short rib tagine, and the lamb are all insanely good

Highly recommend. Did private group dining, every dish was great. The falafel crusted cod might have been the best dish of the night - super unique with a great sauce

Would skip the cauliflower, do the Japanese eggplant again and the Jerusalem bagel. Lamb neck was very tender and slightly fatty (delicious)

At lunch, the beet salad is creamy and delicious. The avocado salad equally tasty, and also light. A great meal. Can skip the Bloody Mary.

Order the fried olives and come with lots of people. The best way to eat here is by ordering lots of dishes and sharing.

Tasty modern Middle Eastern flavors, small plates. I'd wait a month or so for them to smooth out the service hiccups. Lively bar scene, but tiny food portions.

This place is much different than your average Jewish Israeli food joint. Most places offer only Ashkenazi (Eastern European) recipes. Bar Bolonat on the other hand is Sephardic, real Middle Eastern!

A bit disappointed with food and service in general. My sazerac was good. The rest was pretty mediocre. Tiny, overpriced portions that are pretty unimpressive. Speaking on behalf of appetizers.
