Finally! A Whole Foods on the UES! Their produce department is massive! Overall, the store is a bit confusing with the layout and different floors, but I'm sure I'll get used to it in no time.
The little coffee shopquick eats setup at the entrance is great. It's isolated from the market and allows people who are there for coffee or quick food stay out of the way of people shopping.
Upstairs for produce and other groceries...downstairs is more express and hot/cold bar that can be eaten in the cafe. Check out line is claustrophobic!
Seems smaller than the other locations in the city. But the multiple-level set-up makes the flow less cramped. The hot food order station and hot bars are a great option for a quick meal.
For $50 purchase $10 off. Yayy! But I can say this whole foods look tiny comparing the others. Then again we were waiting for whole foods ages! Thank god we have it
The produce selection is very limited - with only standard lettuce/greens selections. They don't even carry standards like heads of cabbage or escarole, and mustard greens. Not a cook's grocery.
Yes, it's a Whole Foods on the UES, but the service is East Harlem. Poor training leading to poor customer service & interactions. Also, stock rotation is slack, so look to the back for fresher stock.
