- The tree covered trail helps keep it cooler on hot days. Watch out for blind curves and please stay to the right and try not to walk 3 and 4 abreast.Upvoted Mar 5

- I enjoy walking the trail. Major shortcut to Bethesda Row. Lots of people on it during the afternoon.
- Blank BlankJanuary 29, 2010Great trail for the bike commuter. You definitely need serious lights after dark. While I have always felt safe riding it at any hour, others may not.
- Chad BartlettMay 18, 2014Don't ever do a down and back! Just keep going to Georgetown and catch the metro back. Otherwise it's a long rough uphill the whole way.
- I never listen to my iPod on this trail - too many people on it for you to be plugged in and miss someone yelling out, "On the left!" and then get crashed into.
- To impatient to go south anytime after 8 am. Too many people
