Home to some of the city’s best paitan ramen, a tonkotsu-like preparation that involves a chicken broth so opaque with fat it nearly takes on the appearance of New England clam chowder. Read more

Amazing spot to enjoy good, classic ramen. Try the curry Paitan..it's fabulous. Great wine and beer deals, too. Get here early or be prepared to wait. This place fills up fast!

This place is a godsend for HK. I'll go on record and say Totto does some of the best ramen in the city, in the traditional sit-at-the-bar, slurp-it-down style. Miso and paitan ramens both rock hard

My least favorite location because they always overcook the noodles. It's worth waiting at the original on West 52nd. Also ask for your chili oil on the side if you're ordering spicy.

Totto Ramen's specialty of chicken ramen might sound mild, but their chicken broth is as rich and creamy as the best pork broth.

Totto offers a superb chicken-based broth and wavy noodles. Get it in the spicy version for some of the spicy rayu.

First time here and it was the perfect place for a chilly day in NY. The pieces of pork they throw in are substantial compared to most ramen places & they trim the fat. Add a soft-boiled egg & ur set!

Staff was super nice, especially hostess but their ramen is just mehhh...taste like bland greasy chicken broth! Get a lot of toppings and sesame oil to make it tasty!

This is the newer location in midtown west. ~ 1.5 blocks from original location- larger, less crowded, same food. Roast pork buns are a must. The mega ramen is sinfully good, but gut-bustingly huge.

So happy when I found out totto was opening a new place. Get the extra spicy bowl of ramen... Use some of the spicy red chili paste and oil they give you for the soup to dip your fried chickn apptzr.

Food is wonderful and spicy. Be careful about the entree though. It might be too much for one person and they don't pack the leftovers to go!

Solid ramen all around. Most of the bowls are designed to be customized so be prepared to select toppings. If you're hungry, order The Mega Ramen, it'll fill anyone up.

Totto has me coming back for ramen like no other ramen place. Chicken based broth is where it's at. The pork buns are great too, but pricey!

THIS PLACE. Best ramen in the city. Better than Momofuku and Ipuddo. Their spicy miso ramen is bomb & so is their homemade spicy chili sauce. Pay the the extra $1 for it.

Get the hard boiled egg! It is perfection. Vibe is very different from the original location, much more hipster than mom and pop.

Less chance of a wait here. Get spicy chix (you can handle it) add mushrooms. Cash only, bring your own to go container (not kidding). Better ramen than Ivan. Pork buns pale in comparison to ippudo.

The Chicken Paitan is like thanksgiving in a bowl. The ultimate expression of Chicken noodle soup. This space is larger and less chaotic than the original locale, which can be nice albeit not as fun.

Start with some pork buns or takoyaki balls. The ramen itself is delicious, with a really good broth. Make sure to add a seasoned soft-boiled egg!

Having been to Ippudo and Ramen-Ya in the past week, Totto Ramen ranked third. I found the noodles were a bit undercooked, some people may prefer this. The chicken broth was nice and not too salty.

Paitan Ramen, made with their special chicken and soy sauce-based broth that's complemented nicely with chewy noodles, thick, coarse-cut scallions, and slices of smoky flame-cooked chicken.

The midtown west location on 52nd is better than Hell's Kitchen location on 51& 9-10. The soup is not filtered well at 51st location

This is their second location and a little farther from the Hell's Kitchen main drag which means the line isn't crazy. Also the seating here is much more comfortable than the OG location.

Much nicer decor and larger space than the original location, but still cash only; way tastier than Ippudo West an avenue away - go for the spicy ramen every time

Thought the noodles and broth were great! Mega Ramen is appropriately named - I could not finish all the char siu. #sadface You have to be prepared to EAT if you order Mega.

I got the miso chicken ramen, it's very good but I recommend just getting the chicken one without miso. Uni tasted faintly of chlorine unfortunately.

Arbitrage opportunity by ordering a regular ramen and adding cha siu/other extras on the side. More food for cheaper price than the Mega Ramen.

Totto Ramen’s original ramen shop in Hell’s Kitchen is notorious for its hours-long wait and no-reservations policy. Avoid the hassle at the newly opened location (just a block away).

..2nd time now I'm here being extremely disappointed. It’s just no longer with good quality, not enough onions and cabbages (no option to add extra) and both times the broth was just warm, not hot!!!
