- Graylyn RooseMarch 12, 2017Amazing spot to enjoy good, classic ramen. Try the curry Paitan..it's fabulous. Great wine and beer deals, too. Get here early or be prepared to wait. This place fills up fast!Upvoted Mar 10
- jon ferrerAugust 23, 2014a shorter wait than the original location. the paitan ramen is the way to go. decent pork buns and karate here too. the uni hiyashi chukka comes with a ton of uni. oishii!
- This place is a godsend for HK. I'll go on record and say Totto does some of the best ramen in the city, in the traditional sit-at-the-bar, slurp-it-down style. Miso and paitan ramens both rock hard
- Omari AllenJanuary 2, 2018My least favorite location because they always overcook the noodles. It's worth waiting at the original on West 52nd. Also ask for your chili oil on the side if you're ordering spicy.
- Serious EatsApril 11, 2014Totto Ramen's specialty of chicken ramen might sound mild, but their chicken broth is as rich and creamy as the best pork broth.
- Lori LuoAugust 11, 2014Totto offers a superb chicken-based broth and wavy noodles. Get it in the spicy version for some of the spicy rayu.
- Untapped CitiesAugust 29, 2017Totto Ramen’s is most notably known for their signature Totto Spicy ramen, or if you’re feeling extra daring, they always serve an extra spicy version of their signature dish. Read more
- Marivic GFebruary 17, 2015First time here and it was the perfect place for a chilly day in NY. The pieces of pork they throw in are substantial compared to most ramen places & they trim the fat. Add a soft-boiled egg & ur set!
- Bojan MiljanovicJanuary 12, 2019Staff was super nice, especially hostess but their ramen is just mehhh...taste like bland greasy chicken broth! Get a lot of toppings and sesame oil to make it tasty!
- Anne LacDecember 21, 2014This is the newer location in midtown west. ~ 1.5 blocks from original location- larger, less crowded, same food. Roast pork buns are a must. The mega ramen is sinfully good, but gut-bustingly huge.
- So happy when I found out totto was opening a new place. Get the extra spicy bowl of ramen... Use some of the spicy red chili paste and oil they give you for the soup to dip your fried chickn apptzr.
- Abhishek ShuklaMarch 12, 2015Food is wonderful and spicy. Be careful about the entree though. It might be too much for one person and they don't pack the leftovers to go!
- JasonMarch 30, 2014Solid ramen all around. Most of the bowls are designed to be customized so be prepared to select toppings. If you're hungry, order The Mega Ramen, it'll fill anyone up.
- Totto has me coming back for ramen like no other ramen place. Chicken based broth is where it's at. The pork buns are great too, but pricey!
- Kasey MaAugust 9, 2015THIS PLACE. Best ramen in the city. Better than Momofuku and Ipuddo. Their spicy miso ramen is bomb & so is their homemade spicy chili sauce. Pay the the extra $1 for it.
- Connie ChiuSeptember 4, 2014Get the hard boiled egg! It is perfection. Vibe is very different from the original location, much more hipster than mom and pop.
- melissa HochmanJanuary 28, 2015Less chance of a wait here. Get spicy chix (you can handle it) add mushrooms. Cash only, bring your own to go container (not kidding). Better ramen than Ivan. Pork buns pale in comparison to ippudo.
- Nicholas DoyleAugust 8, 2014The Chicken Paitan is like thanksgiving in a bowl. The ultimate expression of Chicken noodle soup. This space is larger and less chaotic than the original locale, which can be nice albeit not as fun.
- Sean SmithNovember 7, 2016Start with some pork buns or takoyaki balls. The ramen itself is delicious, with a really good broth. Make sure to add a seasoned soft-boiled egg!
- Dom WongJanuary 8, 2015Having been to Ippudo and Ramen-Ya in the past week, Totto Ramen ranked third. I found the noodles were a bit undercooked, some people may prefer this. The chicken broth was nice and not too salty.
- Ryan ZolaApril 10, 2014Paitan Ramen, made with their special chicken and soy sauce-based broth that's complemented nicely with chewy noodles, thick, coarse-cut scallions, and slices of smoky flame-cooked chicken.
- Minji SonMarch 6, 2016The midtown west location on 52nd is better than Hell's Kitchen location on 51& 9-10. The soup is not filtered well at 51st location
- Belle HuangMarch 1, 2015One of my favorite ramen spots in the city. The spicy ramen is where it's at. Make sure to add the seasoned boiled egg and get the pork buns.
- Christina ChinSeptember 9, 2018Spicy chix paitan is good, thin noodles. Get with egg. Cash only but its not as busy as original location.
- Doris HuJune 1, 2015Much shorter wait and close to the original location. Get the wavy ramen over the straight one!
- Honghui YuDecember 1, 2017This is their second location and a little farther from the Hell's Kitchen main drag which means the line isn't crazy. Also the seating here is much more comfortable than the OG location.
- Stephanie DeDeckerApril 30, 2017Curry Raman and Pork buns were amazing. Definitely my new favorite for ramen in NYC
- Winston S.January 31, 2014Wait is shorter than the original location the time I went and the food turnaround from order was super quick. My favorite dish is the extra spicy Totto ramen.
- Much nicer decor and larger space than the original location, but still cash only; way tastier than Ippudo West an avenue away - go for the spicy ramen every time
- Hailey Heewoo KimJanuary 19, 2016spicy paitan ramen with an egg is the way to go for a warm wintertime meal. also works as a perfect hangover cure :)
- Greg HsuJanuary 4, 2014Bundle up cuz you'll have to wait outside & you'll only be seated if all the party's there. Also this is better and less busy than the original location and bigger too
- AmandaSeptember 26, 2014The extra spicy ramen is soooo good! Add an egg and corn and you'll be in ramen heaven.
- mich sungJanuary 26, 2014Thought the noodles and broth were great! Mega Ramen is appropriately named - I could not finish all the char siu. #sadface You have to be prepared to EAT if you order Mega.
- Loriah PopeJuly 25, 2017Veggie Ramen is delicious! Pretty easy to get a table at any time for 2 people, even if there's a wait.
- I got the miso chicken ramen, it's very good but I recommend just getting the chicken one without miso. Uni tasted faintly of chlorine unfortunately.
- The miso ramen noodles are the best, in my opinion. There is more space here than the other location so there is less of a wait.
- Azim KasmaniNovember 3, 2017Tasty ramen. Substitute cabbage noodles for a gluten free option! Very accommodating and friendly staff
- Arbitrage opportunity by ordering a regular ramen and adding cha siu/other extras on the side. More food for cheaper price than the Mega Ramen.
- Not full yet? Order pork buns. Too full? Order pork buns. Gastronomically numb after your previous order of pork buns? ORDER MORE PORK BUNS
- Percy HolmesApril 21, 2019The spicy ramen is always so good! I highly recommend it with extra mushrooms and scallions.
- Heather MartinNovember 30, 2013Yummy veggie ramen with bean sprouts and corn add ins. Great, friendly service
- Ale TowerJuly 10, 2016Great spot for a quick meal after work or before going out. Ramen is decent, delivery is quick, prices are cheap.
- Greg Wong 🎯November 15, 2013Get the Mega Ramen. It's so worth it. It's great for the pork / char siu lovers.
- Ronald BarbaJuly 5, 2014Friend and I went past the original location, but didn't want to wait in the long line in the rain. Went to this location and got a table immediately upon arrival.
- Kat LDecember 27, 2013Sit at the bar for faster service and order the spicy ramen. The miso one was fine if you're in the mood for it.
- Greg Wong 🎯April 14, 2014Order additional toppings on the side and share them amongst different bowls.
- DailyCandyJanuary 14, 2014Totto Ramen’s original ramen shop in Hell’s Kitchen is notorious for its hours-long wait and no-reservations policy. Avoid the hassle at the newly opened location (just a block away).
- Libran LibranJune 23, 2019..2nd time now I'm here being extremely disappointed. It’s just no longer with good quality, not enough onions and cabbages (no option to add extra) and both times the broth was just warm, not hot!!!
