- Like a mini Manhattan in Berlin. The skyscrapers are impressive from ground level, and you can also enjoy top views of the city from the Panoramapunkt café/viewing platform.
- Nischay MohanJuly 18, 2015Trendy, vibrant financial district of Berlin with a fascinating history, and colorful residential and office buildings, a refreshing change from regular glass buildings of other financial districts.
- Artyom FedosovJuly 29, 2016Posh neighborhood, tall buildings, facades made of steel and glass, you know. Don't miss a chance to look on Sony Center from the inside, their umbrella-like tent roof looks so futuristic.
- Joanne MoussaFebruary 21, 2018Looks a lot like Manhattan, very different than the rest of historical Berlin. Beautiful architecture with lots of restaurants and iMAX theaters.
- One of my favorite places in Berlin. Love the modern architecture, especially the Sony Center. The Potsdamer Platz area is also the "film center" of Berlin.
- SandyInBerlinMay 30, 2012Go when it's warm & massive lightening storms are expected. Sit at the front of a restaurant with the sliding walls open. Enjoy the tremendous acoustics of rolling thunderclaps & metallic rain. Video: Read more
- The TelegraphFebruary 12, 2013Head to Potsdamer Platz, one of Europe’s busiest squares in the 1930s and a complete wasteland during the Berlin Wall years. Today’s collection of high-rise offices includes the sparkling Sony Center
- Great location for whatever plans you might have. Walk to the Mall of Berlin, to Sony Center for cinema and coffee, or walk to the Jewish Memorial and Brandenburger Tor in 5 min max!
- DoubleDeuceOctober 31, 2018They have a few old pieces of the wall here and some bits of knowledge posted on them. It's a great quick read and interesting to see the line along the ground showing where the wall once was.
- 103372 -9December 17, 2017I like that square. Huge and central. You can find any kind of activities as a tourist.Upvoted Mar 16

- Louise HApril 14, 2012This is my favorite nighttime-spot in Berlin! I love how Bahnhof Potzdamer Platz looks beside the gigantic DB-building. And there is also a post with the historical context of the train station.
- Darleny LopezJanuary 14, 2016Love it! I came in December and there was a Christmas fair, lovely space and you get to see the modern building of Berlin
- Andrew BC 翁 ÔNGJune 6, 2015Sophisticated modern high rise skyscrapers versus small pieces of Berlin Wall
- Josh LaboveJanuary 17, 2015More of a shopping and transit hub, Potsdamer Platz is pretty spectacular as the sun goes down and the lights give the architecture a wonderful sparkle.
- Sarah KertonOctober 28, 2014Beautiful architecture, huge S bahn station and a great view down to the Reichstag
- Phat BuoyOctober 18, 2014The centre of new Berlin - so much history to read about in this area. Lots of high end hotels and US chain shops around here
- Phat BuoyOctober 17, 2014Worth a visit, particularly at night during October when the light festival is on - uplit trees and projections onto buildings give this place a magical feel.
- Rusty ShacklefordApril 18, 2016Beautiful buildings at sunset. Very modern and lots of restaurants around
- Lisa ChristineJuly 4, 2014Interesting modern spot to visit for a quick stop, but mostly for its history. Now it's mostly only tourists. Of historic interest is an old GDR watchtower on Erna-Berger-Straße (at Leipziger Platz).
- Mostly malls and offices. No real nightlife scene, not worth a visit if you're looking to explore the better areas of the city. Tip: be sure to check out the hidden Keith Haring sculpture!
- Aolani SmytheAugust 5, 2013Amazing plaza where the first traffic lights were installed here. Recommendable to visit at, indeed!
- Freefri A.May 1, 2012Perhaps the most visible symbol of the ‘New Berlin’. The historical Potsdamer Platz was a busy traffic hub that became synonymous with metropolitan life and entertainment in the early 20th century.
- JosephineJune 11, 2018Potsdamer Platz is a city within the city. Great office area but is missing the Berlin atmosphere.
- Frederik VerleyeDecember 23, 2014Don't forget this place when you visit Berlin, there's a lot to do in this area
- VuelingOctober 29, 2012Its modern architecture marks the new landscape of a unified Berlin. A curious fact is that Potsdamer Platz is where the first traffic lights in Europe were installed. http://bit.ly/QPxfkx
- Large, modern and lacking green stuff, but hey: look around, see the architecture. Isn't this place cool and photogenic?
- Hoda MahmoudAugust 9, 2015Nice country side of Berlin. People are very organized. The only disadvantage it was super hot and there were no AC around
- Take a minute to stand still and enjoy the panorama of the Potsdamer Platz.
- Marianna SokratousJanuary 7, 2016You should visit the Dali museum. It is very nice and cheap, 12 euro per person.
- Ben BaronSeptember 3, 2014A great location to people watch. The Christmas market during the winter takes up nearly the entire plaza.
- If you are looking for good food and no tourist rip-off, try the Coa (right next to the Mariott Hotel and the Vapiano)
- Francisco CanoAugust 13, 2014Definitely an architectural highlight in Berlin. Great spot to take some pictures.

- Skyscrapers, woohoo! And the first traffic light of Berlin! ;)
- Marina MatijacaApril 22, 2014Get on the top floor of Starbucks, enjoy the view and your Vanilla Latte. Damn it's mesmerizing!
- Add at least half an hour to your journey time to get and work one of the DB ticket machines. Utterly disgraceful but that's the way it is.
- HashtagNYUJune 19, 2015Super historical place, but you can't really tell with how modernized it looks now. Read more
