- Andy WangFebruary 10, 2015Great omakase experience. Impressed they had both Santa Barbara uni and Ft.Hood uni. More relaxing than Kusakabe and at 1/3 the price. Highly recommend for relaxing great sushi experience
- Jeshua BorgesJune 18, 2016Make sure to get reservations, and sit at the bar. Tell them what you like and have fun with it. One of the best most personalized sushi experiences I have had. Dont miss the uni selection.
- Ichi's new location. Much bigger. Sit at the bar and order omakase or a la carte. Big specials menu with lots of fish from Japan. Loved the umi masu (ocean trout) and Hokkaido Uni.
- Jono KaneFebruary 19, 2014An incredible Japanese food experience.🍶🍣🍱🍲 Go to the website and make reservations ahead of time. Highly recommend the miso clams special, if it's available. Yawaraka is a nice mild sake. 😬👍
- Chefs FeedOctober 23, 2015"I like to call the uni "butter from the sea." It's so fatty and creamy. Have them pair a nice sake shot with it." Chef Tony Ferrari Read more
- Fred Stevens-SmithJuly 23, 2016Best sushi in the city except Eiji and overpriced wannabe swanky spots in fidi. Super friendly chefs, nice relaxed vibe. All the omakase was perfect.
- Chris EdwardsAugust 9, 2014Enjoy some excellent cooked dishes at NI Bar while you wait for your seat at the sushi bar, where you can some of the best omakase SF has to offer.
- J CrowleyMarch 11, 2016Awesome sushi spot. 🍣 Poke hand roll (yellowfin tuna 🐟) was so good we had to order more.
- Great nigiri specials, always high quality. Good draft beers. Have the yellowtail tataki if it's on the menu.
- Rodrigo DaviesJuly 11, 2015Often booked up in the main restaurant but the bar at the back is first come first served and almost always has a free table
- Tasting TableOctober 8, 2014Swing in to "The Happiest of Hours," from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and pair $1 oysters with a Sapporo on draft, plus rotating wine and sake specials for $6. Read more
- Order omakase and leave yourself in the chefs' hands. Even better to do so while sitting at the bar.
- Cristina MongeAugust 23, 2014Anasi, the sushi chef is amazing great. Foo is exceptional and the staff is super hipper nice!!!!
- Runqiu CaiJune 20, 2015Fried chicken and other warm plates are good. Felt some dishes were over salted. Need to come back for omakase
- Global HighlanderMay 5, 2015The kasu gindara black cod dish was excellent. The Anchor Saison was a nice beer.
- Rem KoningOctober 31, 2015Omakase is amazing! Make sure to follow the instructions on the wall, makes each bite even better.
- scott ...July 26, 2014Try some of the perfectly prepared wagyu beef tataki. It'll make you wagyur tail.
- Sofia FigueroaJanuary 14, 2016Delicious food - brussels sprouts and seaweed salad like it's never been done! Ask your server for tips.
- Tyler SzaboJuly 4, 2015Elegant nigiri and wonderful sake pairings to match. The chefs are astute and make tailored omakase.
- Paulo SantosAugust 18, 2015Pretty decent omakase, I'd come back but Saru is still my favorite up to this point.
- Spicy hotate 💫, but that ume g&t is not as ume as you want it
- Don't get the chirashi bowl expecting large pieces of sashimi. It's more bara chirashi style with a few bits of diced fish on a heap of rice. Not recommended.
- Aron SchindlerAugust 5, 2015Very very disappointing. Tiny portions of bland (read leftover?!) fish for sashimi rice don. Shocked at the bill for what we got! Look elsewhere for your sushi cravings!!
