Finally a place to eat dumplings in NYC where the ingredients locally sourced and the plates and utensils are compostable. Time for Xi'an to follow and be eco conscious like the Cheng sisters!
Can't decide on what to get? Go for the half+half & try out two kinds go for veggie (full of greens!) & chicken, pan fried. Plus, tradition is alive - Taiwanese women handmake them at the counter! 😊
Mimi Cheng, recreation Cheng sisters' home recipe chicken & zucchini in a dumpling. Also try: pork dumplings prepared with bok choy and cabbage, as well as a vegetariankale, mushroom, & eggdumpling. Read more
A great addition to the East Village! The dumplings are simple and delicious. All ingredients are locally sourced and organic. Tip: small space with few seats; come at an odd time.
Found a perfect place for vegetariandumplings. They are delicious. Spicy dan dan noodles is a must try. Soba and the sauce in this are so fresh! I would definitely go here again.
Spicy Dan Dan noodles are super spicy but soooo good! The chicken dumplings and pork dumplings are so flavorful and delicious. Veggie dumplings need sauce. Mimi's special sauce is DELICIOUS.
Dumplings are yummy of course. don't be fooled it's not a romantic date spot but very cozy atmosphere. There's usually tht loud obnoxious guy/girl in there but I strongly recommend it regardless.
Love the mimi cheng's dumplings. So fresh and juicy. I like getting them pan-fried. The mighty veggie dumpling was SO good, and I'm not a vegetarian. The secret sauce is all that it's cracked up to be
Love this spot! They use all organic and grass feed meat in their dumplings. They are made fresh daily. Super delicious and the hospitality superb! Huge fan.
Get everything. You're in good (dumpling) hands. Mimi's smile will only make you go back for thirds. Start savory and end with sweet dessertpillows of love. Don't forget the homemade sauce!
simple menu celebrating dumplings & the beautiful story of an amazing family. secret sauce is next level! if you're lucky mimi might even be there hand making the organic, sustainable dumplings! bravo
Go with a friend and order a 6piece of everything, and the gingericed tea. Opt for the veggie dumplings steamed and the pork and chicken pan fried. A perfect weeknight date!
I loved it! There were 2 vegetarian options. I took the vegan one, doubtful, but surpassed expectations. Filling was flavorful and the sauce was tangy, spicy awesomeness. Will go again & again!
These dumplings taste like Bieber dropped a new single in your entire body. That's how much flavor and edgy-ness these puppies have. Get the monthly special.
Incredible dumplings. Pan fried are obviously better, but the boiled are excellent if you want to be healthier. Make sure to add a small pool of secret sauce to your plate
It's all about the monthly special, which can take you from average to outstanding depending on its contents. The chicken parmdumpling with marinara was amazing!!
got the mimi cheng dumplings (chicken and zucchini). perfectly pan fried. the thin wonton wrapper let the ingredients shine. on the flip side, they're pretty steep ($10 for 8).
Pricier than the neighboring dumpling competitors, but they augment traditional offerings with a creative special each month and it's usually a delicious
Amazing customer service - super sociable and warm owner. The intersection of health and great taste! And if you're looking to get a haircut, go see my boy Ross next door!
I went out on a limb with the special dumpling of the month, a strange cheeseburgerwonton that seemed like it was dreamt up in a Guy Fieri test kitchen, and it was great.
This places earns a ten each time! Insane dumplings, fresh, spicy dandelion noodles. Mimi sauce and Siracha. Thank goodness I don't live downtown anymore! Addictive
The store looks nice and their secret sauce is good. The Dumplings themselves are not authentic or great compared to ones at actual Chinese restaurants.
Tried chicken, pork, & veggie dumplings. Looked good & skins are paper-thin but texture, filling, & taste were like store-bought. Sauces were salty & 1-note. Can't give my Chinese stamp of approval.
Taiwanese dumplingbar, opened by sisters Hannah and Marian Cheng. The meat is sustainably raised and locally sourced, and most ingredients are organic.
get a window seat and wave at the people feeling sorry for themselves at the lesser dumpling spots across the street. pour Mimi's secret sauce all over yourself for dramatic effect
Secret sauce is probably just soy sauce, vinegar and chili in oil. Dumplings are okay but don't expect them to be very tasty. Whole foods shoppers would approve though. Good marketing 😂
