- Can't really say a bad word about this place; fantastic service (with a smile), lovely decor, great atmosphere and top notch drinks section. I've yet to try the restaurant...
- Fiona G.👑July 7, 2016Great service. Food was on the salty side but was flavourful. Complimentary cookies was too yummy. Pop up to the roof garden if you're dining at the restaurant. Roof garden has dining too!
- Daren WilliamsJanuary 25, 2018Casual, open setting (upstairs), serving a short menu of creative modern European dishes. Highlights were burrata with blood orange, lamb breast and the brownie was amazing!
- Great environment to chill, meet friends. Try the rooftop at the daytime or sunset it offers beautiful view of The City. It’s busy every evening and is open till 2am on Fridays and Saturdays 👌🏼
- Nathalie DumonJuly 13, 2014The Full English breakfast on Sunday is a real treat. Best quality fresh ingredients. Add a mug of tea and enjoy.
- Francesca HaincourtMay 26, 2017First floor dining room felt surprisingly airy and calm despite it being a heaving Friday night at the bar downstairs. The whole turbot to share was amazing, all the waiters were friendly & efficient.
- Eric CDecember 30, 2014Wandered in off the street. Pleasantly surprised by the stout battered fish and chips and the homemade tarter sauce. Great bottled beer selection though it seemed that all draught beer kegs blown
- Emily-janeJuly 28, 2020Lovely big pub, great all rounder! Good food, especially Sunday roasts! Upstairs restaurant feels more formal, downstairs is great for casual drinks with friends, lovely roof garden!
- Isa SierraSeptember 21, 2016Always so much fun! The dining is specially good. Really enjoy the Mediterranean twist. The wine is excellent as well, ask the waiters for reccos and they'll choose well!
- Kukkii KoppeeMay 14, 2017Good roasts and epic portions. The margarita was a good 'un too. Make a reservation or come early on a Sunday.
- Brian StraussNovember 11, 2022A great spot for Thursday’s in particular — large enough for the hordes without feeling too crowded. A relaxed vibe. Great Guinness!
- Katya RyabovaOctober 14, 2015I really liked the design of it, and the menu (so short but so good), and the wine list. Service is friendly but excruciatingly absent-minded.
- Adam ClewleyJune 13, 2015The rib eye beef to share was excellent. Trust the waiters/waitresses on their wine selection.
- Edzo BotjesJune 21, 2014free wifi, good cappuccino and on this Saturday morning chill music, open windows, light through the whole café and relaxed and cheerful service.
- Martin RichardsonJuly 31, 2017An unexpected roof garden, but a sign of the spread of gentrification around Aldgate. No longer a place for a pint and a game of pool.
- Mary M MottaJune 29, 2019busy, but great atmosphere. ordered an aperol spritz. it was great. ordered another and it was good, but completely different than the first.
- KMay 6, 2016Lovely roof terrace - make sure to check that out. Service in bar downstairs was slow but it was a Thursday night. Food in the restaurant was good if a little expensive for a pub.
- V HFebruary 17, 2015We came here and had a lovely Sunday roast. Would definitely recommend. As a plus, they serve anchovy butter with their bread, yum.
- Good bread with anchovy butter, friendly staff and never been disdained with food. Delicious!
- Luis Sebastián MartínezAugust 19, 2016Awesome all in one concept. Modern pub, restaurant and B&B. Spending a summer afternoon in the roof is a real treat.
- BobbyDecember 5, 2015Good place for after-work drinks and they have seats lining the window so you can people-watch when your mate goes to the toilet.
- Joanna TillmanApril 25, 2019Friendly bartenders in a trendy spot. Great place to grab a pint and watch the sunset.
- Jos JonesJune 21, 2018Such a nice little rooftop bar. Perfect for summer but gets busy in the evenings!
- Giacomo MasonJuly 14, 2017Beautiful terrace! Decent selection of beer. The bar guy I ordered from could make a good whisky sour
- Really good ambience. Bartenders know what they are serving. Excellent whiskey collection. A lot of local beers and lagers available.
- Maxwell LoganNovember 8, 2015Upscale pub fare and creative cocktails served in an airy, industrial-chic space with a roof garden.
- Great pub (with a great raw wine list) plus an great restaurant upstairs. What's not to love?
- Great pub, great food in the 1st floor restaurant! The fries are he best I’ve ever had!
- Try something from the specials board. Black pudding dishes are NEVER stingey on the black pudding!
- Jordi LlobetJune 18, 2015Nice bar if you want to get some drinks. Very good cocktails. Shots at £4.5. Closes at 2.00am
- Ricardo YeowartFebruary 19, 2018Good food and good ales. Good place for big group meals. Book in advance
- Carolina LarrainNovember 27, 2017Pretty as hell and good coffee, but I went for breakfast and really wasn't happy with my salmon eggs Benedict, or Royale as they call them.... Salmon was too strong, not fresh tasting :( Rather ££

- Hannah TrickettFebruary 7, 2016Good food but if you don't order the meat dishes you'll still go hungry.
- Dave MoffatApril 10, 2018Ok, reasonably priced gastropub. Open till 2. Nice roof garden, but much more formal and expensive
